williamjm
I was looking round a shop that sells remaindered books today. I got the following:Master and Commander and Post Captain by Patrick O'Brien - the series seems to be highly recommended by just about everybody that reads it, and I liked the film, so I thought I might try it.Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet - this one seems to have slightly more mixed reviews, but a fairly high proportion of them are positiveTwo Gentlemen of the Road by Michael Chabon - I liked The Yiddish Policeman's Union a lot, although looking at the description I doubt there will be that much similarity. I remember it being entertaining, but that is about all I can remember. Might mean that I found it sort of forgettable or that my memory's shot. Either is possible.---I bought The Child Thief by Brom
