Werthead
The orc nation was actually established in the FR 3rd Edition sourcebook and the later Silver Marches expansion. The novels have been playing catch-up. I must admit that I'm really not a fan of some of the new developments in FR. The Year of Wild Dragons was a damp fizz and the refounding of Cormanthyr just seemed pointless. Aren't the elves supposed to be departing Faerun slowly for good? Galactus
I believe that was the point. They decided to shake things up a bit and have them say "Screw that, we're going back." Which I kind of like. Mopey emo "We're all going to die"-elves isn't as interesting as kick-ass aggressive ones.
oneeye
Go Cormanthyr! Though I agree what's done is done. But elf players characters aren't getting on the ship to Evermeet either so it's plausible. I also find it strange that Mulhorand is taking over Unther. I like the idea of Dragon flights too. The Purple (black) Dragon wiped out half of suzail in one of his flights.
batmanuel19
I got a couple of his (Salvatore's) books for x-mas, and I wanted to know what kind of writer he is. From what I've read, it seems he uses elves and a lot of magic...but is the reading well done?
