    Varys' Letters

Alot of theories people have end up with Tyrion on the throne, that surprises me tbh.

    Varys' Letters

It would be the first time we have had episode to episode cohesion this season.....LOL If you care to expound, what do you think the end will be?

    This is all Jon’s fault

I'm so tired of this argument. It's so dumb. It sheds personal responsibility. And this is for ANY character, not just Dany. It's not Jon's fault. It's Aerys' fault for being nuts and having children instead of using a Trojan Condom. Shut up.

Unless he played "long term" (i.e one episode LOL) and had poisoned something and Dany takes it unaware and drops dead......how hilariously anti-climatic would that be

Taking into account human nature, you are probably right, but lets be real, Rhaegar not being in King's Landing wasn't the cause of their death. Betrayal was (Lannisters) and Rhaegar had attempted to win a decisive battle at the Trident to prevent all of that, so it isn't like he just allowed them to be killed and didn't do anything. But your point is well taken, people in Dorne will likely still blame Rhaegar.

    Mourning Dany

I wont' disagree, the writing is DREADFUL, at best. I actually really liked Dany, so, no, I am not a Dany hater. Still, I think the biggest flaw we see is due to the time constraints of the show and them trying to jam too much shit into a small window of time. They did a poor job. They left obvious plot holes. But I do believe, the over arching point of "Dany goes Targ" on KL is pretty believable. People may not like it, may not want it, but it is 100% in her heritage and I think we will see with the books, the descent is slower and more methodical, incident after incident, affront after affront that builds up and finally she just snaps. They do a PISS POOR job of conveying the gradual transition and so the show makes it seem like she goes on a 3 day bender, but, even with the awful writing, you can see how GRRM could write this to be a more gradual decline that we can recognize as a result from"Targ blood". Everyone that gets so sensitive about her character.....geez there are 2 more books that are supposed to show us (certainly much better than the show!) about the slippery slope of Targ-sanity.
  8. Jaime's death is whatever. I guess I am the fan who anticipates things happening but very rarely expects it done ONE way and then loses my mind if that doesn't happen. I've expected Jaime to die since about 2004ish, the way didn't much matter and I thought this was actually somewhat fitting, because he goes down with Cersei who he (sadly) truly loves. I would have liked Cersei to have a more long, drawn out death but again, back to Jaime, it was fairly fitting, as insuperable as they were. We got Clegane-Bowl. It wasn't epic, but it was nice to see them duke it out. I had held out hope that Sandor would win and return north and serve as a new lord of, say, the Dreadfort (or any of the now seemingly empty houses in the North). But I'm not upset this didn't happen. It was a bit TOO care-bearish to actually think it WOULD happen. Varys dying was lame, but didn't upset me. I just think of all the kings and monarchs he has served, suddenly now he loses it and slips up...meh whatever. The reason I think this whole SEASON has been AWFUL is the accelerated time lines that D&D essentially forced upon themselves and the massive plot holes left because of it. I think the books will show a more indepth and faithful showing of Dany losing her shit. The cinematography from this episode was dreadful....I felt like it was 2 or 3 scenes of Jon, Davos, Varys, Tyrion. Then 30 scenes of a dragon burning a defenseless city and 50 scenes of Arya running through the soot filled streets. They could have done SO much more in these episodes to actually move the plot forward. But instead they have gone for these 80ish minute episodes that have 60ish minutes focused on one thread that just repeats OVER AND OVER instead of actually moving anything forward. It's pretty painful.

    Drogon's demise

Why bother watching after reading this? Plot completed, nice and neat

    Varys' Letters

And with how poorly this show is written, we will never find out for sure. As far as the issue in question though, we ABSOLUTELY know that the Targs have allowed polygamy in their dynasty so it is VERY possible that Elia and her children were still legal and recognized and Lyanna and Jon/Aegon were as well.

    What will Jon do?

We know, from the books, that when a dragon is kept caged up for long periods they essentially become emaciated, weak and small. So it can take some time. And we HAVE seen Jon fly a dragon. To say he HAS to kill Drogon first I think is false. He could easily use the dragon, they all warmed to him, apparently based on his Targ blood.
  13. If there were 3 more seasons or something, yes I would say you might be right. But this is it. She gone.

    What will Jon do?

I just don't think the south matters anymore. I don't think the "North" will be a part of the kingdoms after this. I don't know if KL will be either
  15. Why does everyone say Jon won't be king? This seems to be a very popular thought.....I've always been of the opinion that he WILL rule. And don't give me this. "Jon just doesn't want the IT" BS. Oh, you mean like he didn't want the LC of the NW?! Ya, ok, we see how that worked out. He will be a king (of the North or the IT, I can't say).

    Mourning Dany

She should die a horrible death but it won't happen like that. She ought to die a slow, agonizing, terrible death. But instead it will be quick and unexpected and she won't have to suffer like all the people in KL did because she is a psychotic nut job. Definitive enough?
  17. I think the AA arc is gone in the show, completely undone and irrelevant. Dany, regardless of what this SHITTY show portrays, has PURPLE eyes, not green. So, if they do this it would just be another lame, stupid, FU to the fans. Dany needs to die.....and I am confident it won't happen this way, but I would love for Jon to pass sentence on Dany and pull out Longclaw as Eddard did Ice and dispense the King's Justice. I honestly couldn't care less. I am sure Arya will end up doing it instead. Doesn't matter though, this whole season has been trash. I'll wait till 2040 for the books.

    Tyrion's Face was Priceless

You apparently ignored the FIRST thing I wrote, but it's ok

    Tyrion's Face was Priceless

He failed in that he genuinely wanted what was good for the realm, but believed in the wrong person to bring it. He isn't innocent at this point, but if we can't differentiate between what he was expecting and what happened, what he was striving for and the actual result (which he had NO control over) then we are being oblivious to the situation.
  20. We should probably destroy Rome, London, Versailles and any other ancient city in our world since they are technically epicenters of evil acts.... Ok, sorry I'll be more serious, I just couldn't resist. ANYHOW I couldn't have cared less if it was King's Landing or any other city, castle etc. It's not the place or the iconography for me. They have had plenty of good kings in KL sitting the IT too, so I think it's an easy way to explain away the events. If GRRM plans to have KL and the IT destroyed, that is fine, won't bother me, but it's sugar coated BS if the resulting message is, "King's Landing and the IT had bad guys and now that we destroyed those things everyone will be nice to each other, YAY!!!!". That would be a total BS load imo and in reality would resolve nothing. Moving our capital from Washington DC to Iowa wouldn't make the people any different or more or less corrupt than before, so we can all act like that would be changing something but it's mostly irrelevant.
  21. We've known for a while that they are hacks. I don't doubt (as I had felt she was doomed to something like this for a while) that GENERALLY this is how her arc ends but the show has done SUCH a poor job of conveying feelings, thoughts, moments etc to the watcher, where a majority of us feel fairly confident that GRRM would and will convey these in much more foreshadowing and far greater detail and events that tie things together and make MUCH more sense. Her arc seems especially rushed via the show version and very poorly done, I will agree with that 100%. But she is a Targ, deep down you had to know this was POSSIBLE, that is the WHOLE issue with Westeros rising up against them during Robert's Rebellion. They are not stable people, specifically when heavily inbred.
  22. LMFAO!!! Wat???!!!
  23. You're hearing the thoughts of a genius and one of the hottest producers in the industry, do NOT question him or the plot, which is well thought out and all logical.....
  24. I had absolutely thought about this before. There was a period where I was convinced Dany and Jon were getting married (prior to the show even). I just don't see it now. And I certainly don't see Cersei remaining queen or anyone making a match with her to sit the throne. If this was the arc, I feel like Dany, Cersei or Sansa are the only female characters that would fit the role, but then you have the issue of the male, in almost all cases. No male, except Jon, would have heritage and title to make Sanse queen. Jon marrying Cersei () would be cruel punishment indeed. Dany could marry any one but if the prophecy of her having children is true, she can't have an heir and then you still have the issue of Jon's claim being better. If Jon is king and Dany goes bonkers/dies, then who would be queen? The only reasonable one I can think of is Sansa.....It's laughable to think Cersei will remain in any position of power, let alone queen. There is no female from House Arryn, House Tyrell, House Tully or really any of the other houses that the show has completely neglected. They would literally have to just make up some random female outside of the main ones we know that would be suited to be a queen, as far as bloodlines go. The female character pool is VERY shallow at this point and I would be shocked if they just "pulled a woman out of a hat" trick to get a queen.

    Houses dying out

Bolded houses are gone but mostly irrelevant to the future of Westeros one way or another. We JUST heard about a new Dornish Prince so I would imagine he is somehow related to the Martells, if even from a lesser branch. Baratheons literally just had Gendry legitimized..?? I thought there was still a (lesser) Tyrell floating around. I think the chance of the Tully's vanishing is greater than Tyrell or Baratheons. Even Arryn might go away as Robin would have to have a HUGE character arc change (like puberty in a massive and really good way while actually being taught instead of coddled) in order to carry that line, where someone like The House Royce has proven themselves capable in their leader's absence. And obviously the Targs and Starks make it because Jon.
