  1. Yes. ASoS, Catelyn I “Lysa was the price Jon Arryn had to pay for the swords and spears of House Tully." ADwD, The Griffin Reborn Yet whilst the search dragged on, Eddard Stark and Hoster Tully came down upon the town with a rebel army. Bells and battle followed, and Robert emerged from his brothel with a blade in hand, and almost slew Jon on the steps of the old sept that gave the town its name.
  2. Sort of like it's written, Yo-nn... That's what my head canon says anyway.
  3. That’s always been my assumption, but that’s all it is, an assumption. Based on this: “When he opened his eyes the Other’s armor was running down its legs in rivulets as pale blue blood hissed and steamed around the black dragonglass dagger in its throat. It reached down with two bone-white hands to pull out the knife, but where its fingers touched the obsidian they smoked. Sam rolled onto his side, eyes wide as the Other shrank and puddled, dissolving away. In twenty heartbeats its flesh was gone, swirling away in a fine white mist. Beneath were bones like milkglass, pale and shiny, and they were melting too. Finally only the dragonglass dagger remained, wreathed in steam as if it were alive and sweating.”
  4. The Dragonknight? That’s Aemon Targaryen, son of Viserys II and brother of Naerys (I think) and Aegon. I don’t remember any instance where we're told of Bloodraven participating in tourney, but I could be wrong.
  5. Not that we’ve heard of, to the best of my recollection. Yeah, real helpful, I know!
  6. Maybe it doesn’t have a name? Just part of the NS? https://atlasoficeandfireblog.files.wordpress.com/2017/02/westeros-the-vale-of-arryn.png
  7. Did the same on Safari: cleared everything, closed browser, and turned iPad off. And no joy again. https://imgur.com/a/y5EEIrm
  8. https://imgur.com/a/iz9e1uL I'll try the same steps on Safari and see how it goes.
  9. Closed all tabs and turned iPad off, and it’s still the same. It’s so weird...
  10. Only one atm. Can’t link it coz I can’t open it, but titled “omelette, scrambled, or dragons?” just cleared browsing data, cache, but no joy.
  11. The same weird thing started again, and now it’s a topic I started myself. On Chrome it’s “aw snap” and Safari “web page reloaded”.
  12. It’s quite good. Hopefully she’ll link it here as I’m too sleepy and lazy at the mo to look for the link myself.
  13. Yes. Coz he killed him and “sausaged” him. @sweetsunray has a good essay on it.
  14. Right? After I posted I realised that the female names are a nightmare as well, but I was too lazy to edit my post! You and me both! Those names totally do my head in, even to this day.
  15. He did. But apparently didn’t care about the order, which is curious as well. Also, we have nothing in the text pointing to Rhaegar wanting to name his kids after the 3 conquerors. And there are so many Aegons anyway... in fact, most of the Targ names, especially male names, are repeated a lot. And they’re all impossible to keep straight - to me, that is.
  16. @Ran, FYI, same weird thing started again for me yesterday. On Safari and Chrome, and only on the “green vs. black” thread (General ASoIaF).
  17. There is a text version that looks “legit”, but I don’t know how legit if that makes sense. I don’t recall ever seeing this chapter on Martin’s site.
  18. I haven’t used my phone here for a long while, so can’t answer your question. But the best place to ask that is here: https://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?/topic/113674-board-issues-4/&page=73
  19. Same here. After a long while where it was normal, it started again but only noticed on one thread in General asoiaf (can’t remember which one now).
  20. Isn't the person who created and runs the Search of Ice and Fire someone who posts here? I'm having issues w/ it and would love some input/advice. I'll also take the opportunity to thank this person, the SoIaF is simply wonderful and I love it.
  21. The actual point here is, that’s not how it works in Dothraki culture, as we’ve been told time and time again. Rhaego wouldn’t have inherited Drogo’s khalasar, nor would Pono act as his “regent”, as you put it. Looking forward to it!
  22. This! The idea that Rhaego would inherit Drogo's khalasar is utterly preposterous given what we know of Dothraki culture. My only doubt here is, is it more preposterous than the notion that Rhaego is alive, less preposterous, or as preposterous?
