  1. Great ep all around. Loved Lady Olenna so much! NIce to see the Hound back as well. The intro of the Reed kids was just perfect. I agree, the Catelyn scene stunk. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they put that in to setup something else later on, but really didn't care for it one bit.
  2. I liked most of this episode. the HotU scene was really different from the books and I'm ok with that. If they had done a word for word adaptation, viewers who havent read the books would've been left too confused. I thought we were going to see Aerys, though. What happened to the actor who was cast as the "mad king" for this episode? Hopefully that will be on the BluRay. The scene where the Stark kids find Luwin was just heart wrenching. As always, all the Tyrion stuff was just awesome. Loved Jon Snow and his reaction to the wildling camp. Just how much they showed of the wights and the Other was shocking, but they made Sam too much of a craven. Watching it for the 3rd time now and overall I like it. The show and the book are separate for me and I love them both for what they are.
  3. Pretty sure I read where the producers said they are splitting book 3 over two seasons. If anything it would be the cliffhanger for the end of the season.
  4. Oh and Varys giving Tyrion a map of the tunnels under the city.....foreshadowing??? ;)
  5. Just fucking brilliant. Loved every minute of it. The Hound/Bronn scene, Tyrion's speech to the men, Hound getting freaked out by the fire, Stannis leading, drunk Cersei, and then Pod to the rescue! YEAH! Oh and loved The Rains of Castamere, too!!
  6. Enjoyed this episode so much. I am now completely over the fact that they are deviating from the books. The show and the books are two different animals, deal with it. Frankly, I think the writers are so capable. Yes, it is weird seeing Arya and Tywin have these interludes, but its just so damn entertaining. And now Dany has a real, serious reason to have Drogon burn the House of the Undying to the ground! Cant wait to see that.
  7. Are we sure that Osha and the Stark kids are going to be hiding in the crypts? With the way things are going this season, I wouldn't be surprised if they just leave Winterfell all together and start out towards the Wall.
  8. Just "implied sex" this week. Obviously Osha and Theon weren't jus lying naked in bed together. Loved Theon's line when he first sees her naked!
  9. So if Dany's handmaidens are all dead then does that mean we won't have any girl on girl action on the ship to Slaver's Bay? :frown5:
  10. 'tha fuck?!?!? What kind of craziness is this ending? I'm betting it was those foul warlocks who took the dragons. Can't wait til Drogon burns them down!
  11. Overall I really enjoyed this episode. Thought the Tyrion scenes were just tops. Same with Arya's scenes. The only parts I didn't care for were Dany's scene and Joffrey's whore scene. Shame that after not seeing Dany that this crappy scene is what they do with her. And Joff's part just seemed so pointless. While reading the books he always seemed like a typical spoiled rich kid, who got bored and did stupid things. Not a so much a monster like the show is portraying him.
  12. Really enjoyed this episode and how things are beginning to pick up speed. Sometimes its a bit shocking for me to see how they condense things in the show since I just love the books so much, but I think overall the writers do a great job of it. Cant wait for next week!
  13. I agree about TV Shae. Not sure if its the writing or the actress, but she is far less interesting on the show than she is in the book. I wish they'd fix that.
  14. Wow they really condensed a lot into one episode. Loved every minute of it, though. I also wish the battle with Yoren and Ser Amory's men had been more like the scene in the book, but oh well. Myabe we'll get lucky and some other scene will have Maisie screaming "WINTERFELL!" LOL Overall I thought this was a great episode. Waiting for next Sunday is going to suuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
  15. Hi! I'm Joe from Southern California. I started watching the HBO series last year with no idea it was based on a series of books. A good friend started reading them, then shortly after I started and was hooked! I've become obsessed with the show and books and just can't get enough of them. This site has been such a useful tool. I look forward to joining in the conversations. :wideeyed:
