I actually like that Gendry and Stannis are meeting...I know he has taken up some of the role of Edric Storm...but since D&D have to cut corners in the big picture...I am really paying attention to where Gendry's story line is going on the show.

OK...on rewatch.... Mel looks into Arya's eyes and says 'I see darkness there. And looking back at me, brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes that you'll shut forever. We will meet again'

Personally, the only thing that really ruined the episode for me was Loras' scenes. Especially that horrible scene with Sansa in the garden. Sophie Turner deserves a better actor to play off of.

No...I don't recall a Selmy/Jorah scene either....there was one at the end of E5. I absolutely agree with you. Small screen has to meet the constraints of time and budget. The show isn't going to waste time on small intricacies when they have to highlight the main plot points. What does it matter whether the Tyrells plan to marry Sansa to Loras or Willas? She's marrying Tyrion anyway.

I initially took it that she would kill the above listed. But you are right in the way she worded it....could easily be foreshadowing of her FM training.

What I found amusing was that the Lannister scenes (Tywin and Olenna, Jaime and Brienne, Tyrion and Cersei) were actually the most comedic in the episode. Very dark and an awesome set-up for the rest of the season. And poor Edmure :lmao:
