  1. Har! Why is everyone so convinced that this episode is a nod that Dany is 'finally going to Westeros?' She gave the same speech that Drogo gave in S1. She's been talking about going west since the first season. I must have missed something because this thread is oozing with people believing that Dany will be landing on the shores of Westeros by next week's episode. She still needs to go back to Mereen and settle things since her departure. And with the way Tyrion has handled the fading out of slavers, I imagine it won't be a simple good bye. She will make a big deal of it. Also, how is she going to get the dothraki onto the wooden horses? Her fleet got burned so I'm guessing she will have to wait for the Greyjoys to make their appearance before she can take her army west. I guess I just don't understand the overwhelming love and joy of the 'Dany is finally going west' jamboree. Not quite yet, folks.
  2. The Dorne scene has triggered the most inner monologue amongst myself today; mostly because it involved characters dying in show that are alive in book. I've been wondering if the show has given us a look as to what will happen in the book next, or if the characters of Doran, Hotah, and Trystane are so irrelevant for Winds and Dream that they can off them in show for some shocking deaths to open the season. I'm gonna go with the former. I think that these characters will likely die soon in book. I've known all along that Swann was a dead man walking with Obara Sand and Hotah as they marched on High Hermitage. I think it is now plausible that we can add Hotah to that death list, as well. If Sand has had any communication with DS, it shouldn't be terribly difficult to off Hotah with the KG knight. Sand and DS are of a like mind, much as Ellaria Sand is in show. They want war on the Lannisters, and anyone who opposes that can die. DS could perhaps play that role in book. Ellaria in book is pretty normal, and lacking that bloodthirsty quality. With no DS in show, clearly that gives room for Ellaria to take the lead. Or I could just be completely reading too much into this. Either or, Hotah's first chapter or so in Winds should be a treat if the show is any inkling as to what will happen with the leadership in Dorne.
  3. So is Trystane gonna get ambushed on the way back to KL? I don't recall Doran mentioning a journey back by sea. Really digging that plot.
  4. Ciaran Hinds is a fine actor but I think they missed the mark on Mance Rayder.
  5. Agreed. Ha yes.. He looks like he added muscle. Interesting...
  6. Ohhhh I can't fucking wait to see Slynt's head roll across the ground.
  7. I'm dreading this Grey Worm love plot that's bound to happen this season.
  8. I don't believe there was ever word of the Greyjoy uncles being cast? What a shame if they cut them out.
  9. Viper vs Mountain was a great scene. I feel like it couldn't of been done any better. Hearing Oberyn scream when he is normally very confident was alarming. Not a fan of the Grey Worm/Missandei bit. It just seems unnecessary and a waste of time. Jorah's departure finally arrived. Weird to think that him and Tyrion will be paired up shortly. I liked the Ramsay scene where Roose declares him a Bolton. Happy to see Grenn, Pyp, and Edd. I feel like they're underrated.
  10. Yes I would've liked that a lot too. I think for the sake of entertainment that it would've been more shocking and intense if he would've revealed it in front of everyone. One of my favorite scenes in the book.
  11. Yeah he hinted to Tyrion that he could champion him but who was to say if he was being serious. He announced and confirmed it during the final trial in front of the whole court.
  12. I'm disappointed in the Tyrion/Oberyn scene because I think this means that he won't be announcing it in front of the whole court like he did in the book which was so awesome due to all of the shocked onlookers and Tywin. I enjoyed the scene I just think it means that they're cutting the final court scene. Hot Pie pop up was cool. Arya/Sandor was a nice couple scenes as well. Dany's scenes were pretty good. Still interested in seeing how they are gonna send Jorah away. LF pushing Lysa out was great. Still get annoyed by his voice from time to time. Sansa slapping Sweet Robin was very satisfying. I find the Mel/whoever is next to her fire-staring scenes really annoying. A decent way of implementing the third Mountain to be on the show. The show has done a pretty bad job of giving the audience a reason to hate The Mountain. The Tyrion/Bronn scene was my favorite. Pretty much word for word from the novel. Overall the episode was pretty good.
  13. The Bloody Gate mention by LF was cool. The Vale is quite the sight to behold. Next week's episode with Braavos looks amazing as well.
  14. Overall solid episode. Jon and NW part was badass. Happy I wasn't on the 'Locke is gonna be Bowen Marsh or something' bandwagon. I'm happy that Bran booked it before talking to Jon. Jojen was right that Jon would impede on their journey. Weird thinking that Jon and Bran haven't spoke to each other since the pilot. The next episode looks like it has potential to be the best this season.
  15. It made me laugh, but yeah, I think he's okay.
  16. You must read with your eyes closed if you're surprised by this.
  17. I'm sure if they thought there was a huge spoiler they would mention it... They understand how popular the books are, obviously, and wouldn't spoil anything significant. This babble tonight about spoilers is comical. If you hadn't realized these things about the walkers by now then you should join the silent sisters.
  18. Right. I don't see Locke being around long-term. I think he'll die at Craster's.
  19. Agreed. I don't feel spoiled in the slightest.
