  1. Re-reading, at ASOS now:

    Quote

“It is night in your Seven Kingdoms now,” the red woman went on, “but soon the sun will rise again. The war continues, Davos Seaworth, and some will soon learn that even an ember in the ashes can still ignite a great blaze. The old maester looked at Stannis and saw only a man. You see a king. You are both wrong. He is the Lord’s chosen, the warrior of fire. I have seen him leading the fight against the dark, I have seen it in the flames. The flames do not lie, else you would not be here. It is written in prophecy as well. When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone. The bleeding star has come and gone, and Dragonstone is the place of smoke and salt. Stannis Baratheon is Azor Ahai reborn!” Her red eyes blazed like twin fires, and seemed to stare deep into his soul. “You do not believe me. You doubt the truth of R’hllor even now . . . yet have served him all the same, and will serve him again. I shall leave you here to think on all that I have told you. And because R’hllor is the source of all good, I shall leave the torch as well.”

Very specific time frame in which Dany hatches the dragons. I'm wondering why there had been all these theories about who Azor Ahai is? after GRRM literally told us who she is :P

Oh, I never cared about Jon or direwolves, but poor Ghost being left behind left me really upset.

Greywind did wonders for Robb in the eyes of his enemies and supporters alike. Such an idiotic decision by DnD with dumb poetic reason. Tho they abandoned direwolf connection with stark children long ago so :/

That Ramin Djawadi is a musical genius shouldn't be news to anyone, but that piece that played towards the end when the NK is approaching Bran is simply put...amazing.

It's haunting and ominous, yet strangely beautiful and uplifting at the same time.

I've noticed it for it was too similar to the piece at Mass Effect 3's ending, Unrelatedly it was a shit ending that caused a lot of controversy :P

  4. What a disappointment of a season. The writers can't write shit, people teleporting left and right, recycling old book scenes is a common thing now. Yeah things happened but not in a satisfying way and yeah things got set up for next season and if this season is any indication, next season won't be satisfying either. If you butcher every plotline of course you'll run out of books, now there'll be 7 episodes for season 7 and 6 for season 8, they could have easily made all the things happened in this season into at least 2 seasons in a satisfying way but who am I kidding they can't write shit.

WOOOAAW A THOUSAND SHIPSS OMFG THIS SHOW IS FFiNn GREATT!!

  5. I agree the episode really could've used Stannis's arrival. Episode 10 is going to be absolutely insanity as it is. Why did they feel the need to push Stannis up?

I think this is all of wall we see this season, this episode ended in a way like a season finale(for the wall), they killed grenn&pyp to make room for new characters(Val and Queen Selyse's men). And we never saw Mance in this season, even in this episode. I don't think we'll see him in the next neither. This episode was full of NW, next will be full of KL and a bit dany, enough insanity there will be, aye

  6. I think GOT did a great job with this episode in terms of their action scenes. I will say that Vikings does a great job too. Their battle sequences are amazing.

Only the last battle was good in Vikings, other battles needed more men, they were like people bashing/shieldwalling each other on a 10 meter line for most of the time.

  7. Lets ignore the fact that this is being filmed in two weeks on a television budget. Please show anything on television that approaches this episode.

Yes, but Blackwater episode was much better compared to this. This felt underwelming.

But again, Blackwater episode was shot in a real location and only the explosion was CGI, there was more CGI involvement in this one I think so they had to cut from other things.
