Was it a code to use strictly sword / armor setup or did they use different weapons such as axes , shields , maces etc ? I know Arthur Dayne used just a sword (Dawn) and armor and Jaime slew the Mad King with a golden sword in golden armor . Do any of you guys recall other weapons being used by the Kingsguard ?
