Werthead
More specifically, about the impact of American fiscal policy (notably the 1981 tax cut, I presume) on the lives of the poor, particularly in LA's suburb's. Snoop's thesis is that the cuts in government spending and the resulting slashing of after-schools clubs and youth progammes led directly to the spread of violent gang culture and the resulting problems. Menace II Society direct Allen Hughes and Boondocks writer Rodney Barnes are working on the project as well. Interesting, although hopefully it will have a lot more nuance than that and also look into the impact of the war on drugs and other societal shifts of the time. Handled right, this could be a historical version of The Wire.
The Human Abstract
That sounds like a ridiculous thesis, but I did enjoy "The Wire".
Manhole Eunuchsbane
I wonder if Dre will creep to the mic like a phantom. :pimp: On a serious note, that sounds interesting. I will certainly check it out.
