Themed Entertainment have announced an official Game of Thrones fan convention to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Rio Hotel & Suites Convention Center on February 18-20, 2022. This is the first ever official convention for the show, and promises to have many guests, panels, and events, as well as merchandise for sale. DC Fandome was a similar event I guess...but that was a one day thing. DC Fandome 2020 had about 8 full hour long panels in one day: https://www.slashfilm.com/575961/dc-fandome-schedule/ Wonder Woman 1984 Sandman The Flash Movie The Suicide Squad Snyder Cut Black Adam Aquaman SHAZAM The Batman But DC Comics actually IS a whole live-action "cinematic universe"; they had multiple movie projects to talk about, AND a full live-action TV universe. What the heck will Game of Thrones do with THREE days, with far less content? Of course most of this will be the big promo event for House of the Dragon, because they didn't have San Diego Comic Con panels this year due to pandemic. I mean that's why DC Fandome was created too. Makes sense to have their own thing - even without a pandemic it puts more focus on their own rollout. But how can they fill 3 days? Even with a mix of Game of Thrones old cast members plus "meet the new cast members" stuff. I hope we get at least a 1 hour panel or something, out of three days, on "these are other spinoffs we're also considering". Or specifically an "animated projects" panel (given that they said they're considering three separate animated projects). THREE days?
