Tyrion asks Shae if she ever liked his touch. He says it was the wrong answer and strangled her to death. Tyrion asks Joffrey for his leave to change his clothes, Joffrey denies this request and, almost immediately dies of the "strangler" poison. Both times Tyrion (the sphinx) asks a question and doesn't like the answer, the person dies "strangled". Choked to death.
