I'll update once the choices are updated in the OP.

Currently, my top 2 are:

1. Sophia Myles - Awesome in Moonlight and Underworld.

2. Kristanna Loken - Great in Unhappily Ever After and Painkiller Jane. Has done sword-and-sorcery in Ring of the Nibelungs and In the Name of the King. A logical choice.

Looks-wise, it's a draw between Diane Kruger and Sophia Myles. I'd go for Myles, I don't like Kruger's acting: she looked really insipid in Troy. She has "none of Cersei's fire". I hope Sophia Myles acts better.

Am I too late to come in here with a new name?

I like the proposals here, and Helfer is a great actress (though doesn't exactly look the part, she looks very modern), while Kruger looks the part perfectly with her delicate features (though doesn't exacly act masterfully). Among those two, I'd go with Helfer, but I want to remind everyone of Natasha Henstridge. I think she acts better than Kruger and looks the part better than Helfer. Not as good an actress as Helfer, but she's Cersei's exact age and totally looks the part:

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1068143872/nm0000449
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2226948608/nm0000449

OK, she was the girl in "Species". Still, I think she's a good fit for the role.

However, between the perfect looks and the perfect actress, always go for the good actress. But please, whoever is in charge, characterize Tricia as she looks here:

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1611698432/nm1065454

Number six looks way too dyed and too skinny. Cersei is supposed to be svelte, but also one of the most beautiful women in the whole continent. Tricia is indeed very attractive, but I'm sure the make-up artists can even make her prettier. Just don't let me see her sternum sticking from her skin. The too-blonde hair and skinny figure look GREAT on number six, don't get me wrong, she looks almost artificial, and that's just right for number six. I just fear that whoever's in charge of the production may think people want Tricia just as she looks in BGalactica.

Of the rest of the options, my favourites are Gabrielle Anwar, (though she'd have to be characterized with a fairer complexion), and Alison Doody if she still looks on her 30s (which being an actress, she probably will). Doody very much looks exactly like Cersei is described.

So, my votes go for:

1º. Sophia Myles.
2º. Natasha Henstridge.
3º. Tricia Helfer.
4º. Alison Doody (if she can look the age nowadays).

The rest of the fan-made casting I very much agree with, the fans did a great job (and Tricia herself is a very good actress, too, I don't see her much as Cersei, but acting-wise she's a great choice).

I agree with Gregor, the above are perfect.

And if I see another Tricia Helfer I'm gonna scream!!!

Yes,yes- she's good on BSG, but she is physically wrong for Cercei (waaaay to skinny and angular). Can she even do a realistic British accent? We all know the actors will be in British accent mode, so only vote for actors who you know can do a realistic accent or are British.

Oh, and have talent preferrably....

My favorites so far are Sofia Myles and Romola Garai. They can act and would do the role justice.
Emily Blunt is an amazing actress, but I don't think she would do the show- she has a great film carreer going. Rosamund Pike I also like alot- I don't know if she'd do the show...

My choice will be Polly Walker...excelent actress and can pull of Cersei's looks and character really well... there's one important thing that everyone keeps forgetting-Cersei is in her thirties, so she should be portrayed by someone who is attractive but also mature. And even more important than this is the fact that it takes an excellent actress to play this character, an actress who can act well enough in order to compensate(if needed; but i hope it won't be) whatever she may lack in her appearance.

1.Sophia Myles.
2.Sophia Myles.
3.Sophia Myles.

OK, I just checked Sophia Myles' filmography. I still remembered her from Underworld, because she managed to call my attention more than Kate Beckinsale, despite she was in the movie for about... two minutes? And in her few scenes, she looked caring, indifferent and cunning. Plus, she totally looks the part.

My one vote goes for Sophia Myles. I have found my Cersei. A bit young, she must be about 29, but Cersei starts with 32-33, so it isn't a great difference. If she's supposed to look older, she can have less make up on. This actress really looks the part and can act. It's the perfect combination of what Diane Kruger offers (perfect looks) and what Tricia Helfer offers (perfect acting).

You guys got to cut out the long shots in this thread if you want the casting to be payed attention to by the directors. Can't be anyone expensive or terrible at acting or already involved with a money making project.

This is also the most important role to get a good actress I think because if she is a really good person to hate she will make everyone else look kind by comparison.

Have to admit I don't know about half of them.

1. Melinda Clarke
2. Connie Nielsen
3. Polly Walker
4. Leslie Mann

I would say Christina Hendricks but she has Madman so I won't daydream.

I just remebered Kelly Reilly from 2005's Pride and Predjudice. She played Caroline Bingley and would be a perfect Cercei. Just dye her hair from red to blond and she's it.
