Sturn
The Making Game of Thrones site has a new article>, by way of Bryan Cogman, which is essentially the official pronunciation guide for the first season.I don't understand Catelyn being Cat-lin. What happened to the E? :) Would have thought it would have been Cat-eh-lin or even Kate-lin since it was not spelled "Catlyn".I just saw an interview of GRRM commenting on House Stark and Catelyn Tully. He pronounced her name, Cat-eh-lin not Cat-lin as in the official HBO pronunciation guide. Either the guide has a typeo or the producers chose some names to be pronounced differently then even the author's intention.

Padraig
Either the guide has a typeo or the producers chose some names to be pronounced differently then even the author's intention.Probably the latter. I don't think GRRM cares too much and he probably didn't tell them how he pronounced every (complex) name in the book. And D&D or the actors themselves may have preferred some other version.
