Liam Cunningham is Davos Seaworth

Liam does very well in the slightly bewildered ordinary bloke roles. Sorry I can't think of a specific example, but I can remember him doing this type of role exceptionally well before he made it to the A list. I think he'll be a great Davos - he has that mix of feet-on-the-ground common sense, and a slightly deeper gravitas I find in Davos when I read the books.

Just wanted to bump this thread to say how excited - like, tears of joy excited- I am that Liam Cunningham is going to play Davos. I have been a huge fan of his ever since I saw him in the 1998 Irish mini-series "Falling for a Dancer" where he played the strong and silent Mossie Sheehan. That show is often referred to as the breakout role for Colin Farrell, but I only had eyes for Liam.

I can't wait to see him in GoT!
