I'm starting to understand Sandor's appeal to me more. He reminds me of some of my favourite songs and his 'angry, damaged, BAMF, loner' persona is a common theme to many songs. How could we not love him?

It's funny you mention that, I believe GRRM actually wrote a bit for the 80s television series Beauty and the Beast. Maybe Sandor and Sansa is a little homage to that theme. Probably not. Ha! But it's definitely interesting that it came up in this thread. :]

As a general rule, there's a Zeppelin song that's appropriate for any occasion. Post GOT, I associated Sandor with Achilles Last Stand. The song isn't actually about the Greek myth, but more a song about yearning for something (and literally wandering around the lands). He seeks paths, direction from "above," memories of a woman, finding his way....it even mentions birds taking flight- it's almost too perfect, really. But the words almost don't even matter-- it sounds completely right-- go to 3:40 and tell me you won't hear this playing during Sandor's heroic denouement.
