palin99999
So I live in a very small place and I was wondering what people think about having books next to fresh water aquariums. Will the aquarium's moisture cause any problems for my books? I do have a dehumidifier in the room right now, if that helps. Thanks
Captain Sheepf*cker
As long as you don't store the books in the aquarium or loan books to your fish, you should be fine.
katie3g
I have a 55 gal aquarium with most of my books (4 big bookcases) and have never had a problem. Most of the books are academic paperbacks. Also, no dehumidifer and I live in a maritime climate that is fairly humid with cool (and often cold) temperatures.

Freshwater Spartan
I have two aquariums, lots of books and I have had no problems with this issue. You might want to get a cover for your aquarium. Not only safer for the fish but it will slow down evaporation and help keep the water in the tank and not the air. Your dehumidifier will certainly keep the air dry. What you should do is use books to research fish. Don't just dump any fish in your aquarium just because you think its pretty. Be kind to your fish, research their needs.
