Ivan Tsarevich
Well, in my opinion, men with political power shoul be judged according how they act in times of crisis. And so far, only time Mace has been near crisis was the Robert's rebellion, when King's Landing fell. This time, he made wise decision not to continue war against combined power of Westerlands, Riverlands, the Vale, and the North. The Targaryens were exiled, his only potential ally being Dorne, old enemy of the Reach. So he decided to save his land and subjects from difficult war. Apart from this, he also took up Lannister's offer and allied with them, though this time he had time to take councel from hs family and vassals. Another decision which proved to be good. However, while he has shown ability to take, (or not take,) up the chance, he still has never dealt with truly desperate situation. I wait and see what he does now, when Euron raids around Reach and Aegon tries to subjucate Stormlands and ally with Dorne.
