Myrddin
Over in the Arrow thread, there was an interesting discussion about the downside of Netflix dumping all their episodes at once is that we miss the social interaction of discussing them week to week. I've only watched a few Daredevil episodes so I stay out of that thread even though I'd love to talk about it. I remember similar frustration last December with Marco Polo. It's great to watch a show when and how I want (and without commercials!) but I do miss reading everyone's thoughts and predictions as the show progresses.* I know we can't flood the Entertainment forum with 10 episode-centric threads for every Netflix show, but what about coming up with a system where we chunk a season across three threads? Daredevil S1:E1-4 - I Ain't Got No Horns On MeDaredevil S1:E5-7 - It's Getting Kind of HecticDaredevil S1:E8-10 - It's Clobbering Time! (If Marvel had rights to F4) Thoughts? Mods: is this too much? * (though I guess that also means we "miss" the repetitive "this show sucks donkey balls!" posts too.... Maybe not having in in-progress viewing threads is a good thing...) Dr. Pepper
That discussion got picked up in a new thread. As for your idea, this forum doesn't really have the bandwidth or design to really do something like that. There are other dedicated tv forums that do allow for social discussions of each episode on shows released all at once. If one wants to talk about a show that way, one can and does. Just probably not here.
