Help! List new female characters as of ASOS pt II

Since it's HBO and they like their sexposition I imagine they will keep Arya's time in Braavos when she hangs with the prostitutes. They might become no names or it will be a Ros situation.

If the OP is good looking and trained in combat, as seems to be the case, I'd have to think something that uses both of those attributes would give the best chance at success.

For example here is Conan Steven's story of how he went about getting the eye of people to eventually play Gregor Clegane in season 1.

As for a website: I didnt put anything up since I did mainly great roles stage while in pro drama school (Brecht, Müller, Miller, Euripide, ..) etc - so no footage; and then for short movies, webseries etc: useless "blonde" roles,badly written, or the victim: so I think it wouldn't even be a plus. That's why I'm: preparing my own short movie, and before that, searching for specific scenes in ASOIAF. But I could post some pix on some uploading pictures websites.

(and hahaa no pb I speak english just fine, I just had another image in my head when you spoke of the whore/warrior wildlings, ie those on the Wall kept on just one "castle", more so for the safety of the men "guarding" them; so when I reread your post and saw what you were talking about, I just described the "party" of "musicians" quite quickly ; )

Well, you kind of have a Val look. But honestly, it's a TV show and looks don't really count for all that much. I can't think of any character on the show who actually looks like a dead ringer for their book description - at least not without make-up, wigs, hair dye or the like. Sophie Turner comes close, but even her hair is dyed. Age is taken into account a bit, of course. One can't play Rickon if they are 25 and one can't play a Tormund if they are 12, but even the age thing is flexible.

What casting directors will be concerned with is for an actor to have the chops and are a good fit for a specific role. The show is also combining and/or adding characters here and there as well as adapting the script to suit the screen (it's an adaptation, not a direct telling of the books), so one would actually need to take a look at the casting calls in order to determine what role one would be most suited for.

Oh I so do agree: but for example if they keep Arianne's look I could dye my hair but not make my skin darker, so that has to be taken into account; but I hope acting abilities are the most important since I dont consider myself a model-looking type, but really an actress!..

And yes all depends on the characters they'll pick, write, adapt and the casting calls for them, and that's the hard part: getting involved in the casting process.. that's why I'll make an ASOIAF demo reel, and try to get as much publicity to get Nina Gold and Co's attention.. *fingers crossed*!!

Even skin type has proven quite flexible in the show. See Saladhor Saan as an example. I mean, they can't have a believable Arianne with fair skin when her family is all brown, but it's not something to be completely written off.

As another stated, if you're really invested, check out casting calls and really advertise yourself. I'd be totally down with pushing for a cast member that came from this forum. I know I'll be doing it for Theda when she goes out for Mya, if Mya is cast.

That's awesome! And Theda shouldn't worry, I'll let her Mya: I see myself more as one of the Sand Snakes: if physique changed, Arianne, or Ellaria; if not, Tyene; or yeah if they cast other proeminent wildling women characters; why not Jeyne Poole etc -- and any other good female role you can find!! But I should MP Theda to maybe talk casting/publicity strategies..

Au contraire - Ellaria gets that huge, awesome speech about revenge for Oberyn, and how it just perpetuates the cycle of violence. It's one of the most beautiful speeches in the whole series, IMO.

Well I found it in another topic, in a msg by Artemis, and yeah, that is definitely going in my demo reel: oh the "where does it end?", the part where she asks if a skull can come to her bed at night, make her laugh, write her songs; and the note that she's crying but still full of strength gnnnn I'm sold. Thank you for reminding me of that scene!!

IMHO the Sand Snakes don't do much and likely won't be around for a while. They're good characters but not essential to the story. Perhaps they'll have a bigger role to play in book 6 but nothing that can't be cut until now. But that doesn't mean they don't have good dialogue to show off acting skills with really.

Another one to consider is the Septa's that take care of Cersei in prison. But I have to think they'll be small roles or older women, but it's only a guess.

Haha I dont how to take the "wildling" compliment lol ;) ! and thanks for the pcs - I'll post the demo-reel once done, and since the student director who agreed to do it also does mrtial arts (MMA in his case), why not film a little choreographed combat?

Oh yeah sure, since I dont know D&D's plans I can't really pick a character and try to win this very part , so the best thing to do is select good pieces from various characters, some whom I fit the book description, others, not; but above all showing different nuances in my acting - since they'll see anyway how I look :leer:

OK, so the Ellaria "vengeance' speech is in; do you know if there is enough material for Tyene Sand? Could be intertesting to do different sorts of Dornish women: Ellaria's plea, Arianne's seduction (sensual and political), and the psychopatic sweetness of Tyene, but does she have enough lines? (or could someone just give me all the chapters she appears in? Id I start browsing through the books I'll end up reading entire chapters - and I'm on a rerereread of AGOT right now..)

Some wildling types (and Mance's "girls" in WF) are considered, I have to find good scenes with them; maybe Jeyne Poole..

Other ideas for 20 sth female as of ASOS part 2? Or for someone familiar with ALL the ASOIAF written fiction, does Shiera Seastar appear in other novels, or is she just mentioned? That kind of characters I dig!

I don't think they get much dialogue but it'd be along the lines of seducing a guy in order to kill him later. Similar to the Osha scene in the last season where she says she came to him as a gift and then killed him with a knife. Something like the opening scene of Basic Instinct to switch from sexy to insane killer in 2 seconds or less...

I'll see if there is a precise scene with that type of stuff in ADWD - even if it's short it's the metamorphosis in these 2 seconds that is interesting, so that could be found in the Theon chapter!
