If age is a criteria then Lyanna could be played by these girls....

The Girl who plays Lucy in Narnia.

The one from Bridge to Terabithia.

A repost of the last post in the previous thread.

Age is never criteria.

Lyanna is particularly difficult to cast. You need right amount of beauty and wilderness.

And I imagine her something like Jessica Brown Findlay, or Olivia Wilde... I don`t know, I can`t find the right person so I can say `she`s the right Lyanna`

I posted this in the old but because no one will look there, Antje Traue. She plays on of the new villains in Man of Steel.

Hmm, I like her, there's something about her that looks tough and Stark-ish but still kind.

Good one !! I think she'll become a fancasting favourite for fans of ASOIAF ....

Ha! I'd say she's passable :P She's not a perfect Lyanna though.

Glad you found you're way here Ginny, I didn't mean to beat you to it :P

Hahaha I thought it was quite funny :P I couldn't find the thread !!!

So she's not overly beautiful then?

I think I made the comment that Lyanna isn't "conventionally beautiful". I now realise what a dumb comment that was. What exactly is "conventionally beautiful"? Obviously, everyone will have their own standards of beauty. I think conventionally pretty = barbie doll, soap advert model, teen movie star kind of looks: Perfectly symmetrical face, perfect proportions etc. Young Brittany Spears or Jessica Alba perhaps or Scarlett Johansson? But it's actually difficult to define conventional beauty, and therefore difficult to define unconventional beauty. But I guess unconventional beauty would be someone with a particularly striking feature or features, or a flaw that makes her more attractive and endearing, like Marilyn Monroe's mole. Wabi-sabi - the beauty of imperfection.

So who do you now see as Lyanna?

I like your suggestion of Antje Traue. I also really liked that girl (a model I think) with the freckles and awesome wild hair that someone posted. But I do stand by my belief that she can be any pretty brunette with a kind of elfin face, so long as we get the sense of her wild, bright nature in her features and expressions.
