I just finished my first reread of the series. I started in June and finished today. That means it took me 4 months and 17 days. I was curious how long it takes other people to read.

Damn. I loved the books but can't fathom re-reading them. I did finish each book in a week or two though in the first and only read.

Read them for the first time this summer. Took me 1 month and 1 week to get through it all. I'll probably do a reread around Xmas.

The first time I read the series...I think it was about a month, give or take

For my re-reads, I mostly read aGoT, aCoK, and aSoS, tho. I find aFfC and aDwD a chore, tbh.

I thought the same, but let me tell u its well worth doing a re-read. You pick up so much more, u dnt realize all the little thibgs hidden in there. Do a re-read, trust me you'll enjoy it.

A week I think? Maybe a little more-I read them sometime between the 21st of December and the first of January 2011.

I haven't reread them in the last four months though.

About a month for all five, but scattered over several years, of course!

The first time I read them it only took me 2 months and ASOIAF was the first series that really took me a while to read. I can read LotR in 6 days so I had always thought myself a fast reader until ASOIAF.

Maybe three to four months the first time, though there was time between the books.

Also, I've reread the books four to five times.

the first time i finished the first 4 books in less then 2 weeks. then aDwD came out not long after and i finished that in less then a week for sure. i did a reread over the coarse of several(2-6) months, stopping to read another book a few times. i think but am not 100% sure that i read them a 3rd time, which would have been over like 6 months. im currently reading them again but am still on aGoT as i have other stuff as its published that i switch too, plus im really only reading this time to mark stuff for the corn code theory.
