Lady Blizzardborn
It's snowing! And some very cold air is scheduled to come in next week or so. WINTER IS COMING!
Yukle
You know in Melbourne it dropped 5 degrees Celsius in only fifteen minutes this morning as a cold front came in?! Crazy! It was 32 yesterday and 18 today. Four seasons in a day.
Lady Blizzardborn
Ah, here in Wisconsin we only get two seasons at a time for the most part. Once day we had near record highs with a tornado watch and the same night it froze. Weird stuff.
Yukle
I can't even remember the last time (if in living memory at all) we had a tornado. They happen in central Australia a fair bit, though. Must be scary, eh?
Lady Blizzardborn
Haven't been through one yet, but some have come awfully close. The closest ever I was lucky enough to not hear over the complaints of my toddlers who didn't like being confined to the safest spot in our house. Just knew there was one in the area and that there was a warning in effect, so we went to the safest part of the house. Too late to be scared after the fact, though I was nervous about it being close even. I must say in retrospect I'm rather impressed at the volume my boys managed to attain...louder than a tornado. It was I think between 50 and 100 yards away. Probably closer to the 50, but we never measured. My dad and husband were out milking the cows and heard it go by. And later we saw the a line of trees it took down as it passed (lived in a heavily tree'd area). Saw some more snowflakes today.
Lady Blizzardborn
Been snowing more today. Supposed to get really cold next week. Like below zero cold.
Lady Blizzardborn
Cold is hitting me harder today, probably due to lack of sleep. I do not do as well with it as Queen Elsa does.
Queen of Procrastination
We have a lot of snow right now. Spend the whole day in a park and it was beautiful.

Queen of Procrastination
I actually want to spend Christmas at the southern hemisphere at one point. Just to see what it's like to celebrate christmas in summer.
Lady Blizzardborn
Snowed all of last night and a good deal of today. I rather like the snow. It's the cold coming that I could do without. And it will get colder still before winter is done. I believe we usually get our lowest temps in February.

It's a great beginning to a long break.
