  1. Stefan, who collects ASOIAF translations, lists most of them https://www.agameofthronesbooks.com/my-book-collection/
  2. I removed the first statement and added a refer for the second.
  3. I think someone yielded and joined the black, or died. Jon didn't know the number, suggests the number is changing. Maybe more than one of Cregan's men were not in the cell now. And some NW or wildling were in it for some crime.
  4. I asked her the moment the picture is revealed https://twitter.com/zionius/status/1289229676775268358, but I understood her saying "I may have asked for an official take on it" as "I should have asked for an official take on it", so...
  5. @Ran Hazdahn No (LOIAF) or Hazdahn Mo (TWOIAF), which is correct?
  6. Lords Bigglestone, Chambers, and Perryn in F&B refer to Clint Bigglestone, Johnny Chambers and Steve Perrin, GRRM's fanzine friends since high school.
  7. Yep. Lord Caron had both titles in F&B, so this is not a big issue I guess, though they missed "the" somehow. Other trivial updates are listed in https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/k57eo5/spoilers_main_minor_errors_corrected_in_latest/
  8. The title Lord of Nightsong disappears in the latest update of ADWD kindle edition: Though it should be Lord of the Marches instead...
  9. In the show commentary track of that episode, GRRM said:
  10. https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Gorzhak_zo_Eraz I guess this is incorrect? Of the three slavers presenting the head, we can only sure one of them is the Rabbit (his rabbit teeth betrayed him), we don't know the other two. But since Barry didn't know the names of them, we can assume they are not among the seven who came to the pit, ie., not Yurkhaz, Little Pigeon and Drunken Conqueror. Also they can't be Malazza, Grazdan mo Eraz, and Yezzan. Thus I assume the other two are two of the following: Wobblecheeks, Pudding Face, Beastmaster, Charioteer, Perfumed Hero, Clanker Lords.
  11. Oh I find it is Silverhall in James Sinclair's The South and Iron Islands maps for AFFC 1st ed. In Jeffrey Ward's AFFC maps, it's Silverhall in The South map, Silverhill in Iron Islands map. Even weird thing: Werthead find a version of James Sinclair's Iron Islands map with Silverhill AFFC: https://atlasoficeandfireblog.wordpress.com/2016/02/23/the-maps-of-a-song-of-ice-and-fire-a-feast-for-crows/ So it seems Silverhill is correct after all.
  12. Er, I just notice HBO's 2011 map also call it Silverhill, no idea now... @Ran Do you have any ideas, based on GRRM's heraldry notes and his hand-drawn maps?
  13. https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Silverhill Where do we get the name Silverhill? Is it only from here? https://www.westeros.org/Citadel/Heraldry/Houses/6/ The only canon name I can find is on the book maps and TLOIAF, both call it Silverhall. So that should be the canon name, rather than Silverhill. Or one can make separate entries for them, assuming Silverhall is another place, rather than the seat of House Serrett.
  14. Should the locations of Streets of Flour/Seeds/Looms, Coppersmith's Wynd, Sowbelly Row, Shadowback Lane, Eel Alley from Harper's map considered canon? Apparently they fit the descriptions in the books neatly, esp. in the case of Eel Alley, which is wrongly put on Aegon's Hill in the map book. @Ran Did George provide a new hand-drawn map of KL for the map book, or just marked City Watch Barracks and Eel Alley on some previous map? Also I've been wondering which direction is north in KL map. From most descriptions in the books, it seems George took for granted the up side as north, and completely forgot the compass direction he put in the KL map.
  15. F&B paperback is released today, which fixed most issues in the wiki errata https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/i3lh2l/spoilers_main_changes_in_fire_blood_paperback/ Entries of a few characters need updating too. @Lord Varys
  16. It first appeared in ASOS https://atlasoficeandfireblog.wordpress.com/2016/02/22/the-maps-of-a-song-of-ice-and-fire-a-storm-of-swords/. GRRM adds new lands to his hand-drawn map as the story goes. His hand-drawn map contains almost every detail in the published ones drawn by illustrators. Eg.: earliest map in c.1994, map for the world book.
  17. A few I've find recently: Ken Keller, an old friend of GRRM, grew up in the west coast of the United States and lives in Kansas City. George dedicated the first volume of Wild Cards to Ken, and named Kennos of Kayce after him. Mary Mertens, an old friend of GRRM since 1977 (GRRM dedicated two Wild Cards volumes to her and her husband. Also see her photo on GRRM's website) is the model of Mary Mertyns. She once lived in New Orleans, hence the owl of House Mertyns. Mary passed away recently, so I guess Mary Mertyns will live forever in ASOIAF. Gerardys was named for Vince Gerardis, GRRM's agent. Thus he had a terrible death.
  18. Do we have other descriptions about which side is burnt? It's usually thought ACOK errs since the Hound is burnt on the left side, as said in AGOT. But maybe Sansa was describing from her view in AGOT, so "the left side of his face" is in fact his right face! Then it will fit ACOK. I know most of GRRM-approved arts have the Hound burnt on the left side, like Amok, John Picacio, Michael Komarck and the Dark Sword miniature. So it seems that's GRRM's take. But the comic and GOT have it the other way.
  19. Can this Harper Voyager map of KL (https://7kingdoms.ru/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/voyager_kingslanding-1.jpg ) considered canon? It seems to be the only map with Street of Flour, Street of Seeds, Street of Looms, Sowbelly Row, Pigrun Alley and Shadowblack Lane, which all fit with the book description. And it correctly places Eel Alley on Visenya's Hill, whereas TLOIAF got it wrong. Maybe @Ran would know?
  20. One might add others then: https://www.portablepress.com/blog/2016/06/bunch-animals-people-named-game-thrones/ https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/these-new-beetle-species-are-named-after-game-thrones-180971141/ https://www.iflscience.com/plants-and-animals/new-species-named-after-the-night-king-from-game-of-thrones-for-very-good-reasons/
  21. The Slynt sigil on the wiki misses a detail. It says "A bloody spear, gold on a night-black field", but Citadel says "A bloody spear, gold on black, with a border of checkered gold and black". When you check the description in the books, turns out Citadel is correct. I've updated the text, could someone help with the image? @RanAny comments?
