  1. Another theory I want to find is one that talks about Shade of the Evening being made of peolle
  2. Arthur Dayne is alive in the Neck with Ashara and Howland. Howland + Ashara is already a reach, but having Arthur there is even further.
  3. The post was about a theory that Benjen was killed by Crastor and fed to the Night’s Watch when they came by Crastors
  4. Ages up all the child characters and doesn’t address it. Like make Jon & Dany 18-19, Arya 15 or so etc. Howd you feel?
  5. They are envious of humanity. I think the show was accurate in how the Others were created. Their warmth of life was stolen by the Children, and they eventually turned on all of the living. Their goal is to wipe out humanity and the living. But the Prince that was promised. A child born of the blood of ice and the blood of fire was promised to them. Which is who the Others were looking for in their duel with Waymar Royce.
  6. As of right now I absolutely agree. Their stories are separate at the moment. There will be conflict when they come together. And I really do think it’s possible that Daenerys could go the tyrant route that needs to be taken out. Though I suspect Arya may be the one to do it.
  7. I’ve been devouring the Red Rising Trilogy over the last week. I’m almost halfway through Morning Star, and then I got the next trilogy in the series after. It’s amazing and I can’t recommend it enough.
  8. He probably had some mental issues, exacerbated by Duskendale. But I don’t think he was wrong about there being traitors around him. He was undoubtedly Cruel and deserved his death.
  9. Her thoughts immediately before that line are “Had she? Had she? If she looks back now she’s lost.” It’s literally her contemplating it then knowingly refusing to look back on it. Because she knows that the she knew.
  10. Daenerys knew she was sacrificing Rhaego to “save” Drogo. “If I look back, I’m lost.” Is straight up admitting that MMD was right in telling Dany she knew. You could also interpret it as her refusing to think about the fact that she knew.
  11. Well that there is the fantasy element. A drawn out sword fight is more entertaining. And if the swordsmen are skilled enough a fight could last a few minutes.
  12. He was on par and fighting evenly with Prime Jaime
  13. Could the Others not actually hate humanity, but envy them? Perhaps the Prince that was promised to them, has the blood of ice that flows in their veins, and blood of fire from the Targaryen side. Becoming their King will warm them, and return them to what they were before. Cuz I do believe that it’s likely it’s as the show was. Where the Others were made by the Children from captured First Men.
  14. About the Show, in the first season, Ned is a significantly more proficient and famous swordsmen in the show than his book counterpart. Given that he survived a fight with and killed Ser Arthur Dayne and Ser Gerold Hightower, it’d make more sense. I also liked how it added more to his relationship with Jaime Lannister. Ned killed his two heroes so prime Jaime really wants to fight him. It also adds to the shock of Ned’s death in a way. Ned is the moral center of the first book, and you go into it thinking he is the series lead. Having him being an excellent and famous swordsmen is par for the course with fantasy. More of shock when Ned does eventually meet his fate because of politics, not martial prowess.
  15. Do you think it’s possible the war with the Others will come down to sacrificing a child, or yourself. Perhaps lending credence to the fact that the PTWP was promised to the Others.
  16. As we all are no doubt aware. Rhaegar was Azor Ahai Reborn and Lyanna was Nissa Nissa. The kidnapping/eloping of Lyanna Stark by Rhaegar Targaryen and their subsequent love making and conception of a child was the forging of Lightbringer. Many believe Jon to be said child. But tis but a ruse. Jon is indeed Ned’s bastard via Ashara. But Lyanna did birth humanity’s weapon at the TOJ. When Ned left he took said child from the tower he entrusted him to the Daynes, who took said child to their most trusted friends. House Manwoody. Dickon Manwoody is Lightbringer. Lyanna’s promise that she made sure Ned gave was “Ned make sure Dick finds his home. Dick shall bring the Dawn. Dick will save us all!”
  17. True, but the story he tells is bad enough to be Benioff and Weiss’ work
  18. Would you be willing to make a topic on this? I’d be interested in reading about this
  19. I think Winds will happen, ADOS……I don’t know. I hope the reason TWOW is taking so long is because GRRM changed stuff. Once it’s changed hope ADOS is quicker…..
  20. That brings up mine on that whole era. I hope Aemon and Naerys were simply really close siblings. Not lovers.
  21. It’s not. Dalton would best Daemon 1v1. in fact I think Roddy the Ruin, Cregan Stark, and Dalton were probably the best warriors of the Dance Era. Criston Cole and Daemon were just more famous due to tourneys and politics. Dalton was killing grown men in battle from the age of 12. Neither Roddy or Cregan would have ever competed in tourneys. But Roddy was demonstrably a fucking animal, and Cregan was at the very least of Aemon the Dragonknight’s level, though I personally believe Cregan beat Aemon when they fought.
