  1. Well ... can't complain about the swings in this match.
  2. Arsenal are top atm, and will be unless Liverpool score two unanswered.
  3. Feels like a game where Nunes will get the winner, after him working hard for the whole match and missing every shot.
  4. This is the best factoid of Norwegian football these days. In Norway-news, Bryne FK today played away to newly-relegated-from-the-top-division Stabæk. We gave away a cheap goal on the counter early, and after that we spurned a couple of good chances. But that we could play on even terms with a promotion favourite away from home - I'll take that as positive. Also, another useless factoid of Norwegian football: Stabæk is managed by Bob Bradley of PL infamy.
  5. Well .. three points. About the best to be said about that match. Much appreciated, the keeper helping us to a goal, otherwise we still look like we don't really know what a goal is, or what to do with the ball near a goal. Sometime, we might want to change that a bit.
  6. I'll take that. We're clearly second best, but when Dummet changes his career to WWF, it's hard to avoid that penalty. No idea why he did it, Young was never going to score there.
  7. Being a football fan is a bit like pointing loaded weapons at yourself. I have no idea why I'm watching tonight. Machosists are pussies.
  8. Well, Everton seems hell bent on self destructing, but let's leave that for now. Bryne FK started their season yesterday with a fine 3-1 win over IK Start from Kristiansand. Not exactly free flowing football, but a good win and a great way to start the new season!
  9. At some point soon I expect Sean Dyche to realize that "what we've done for two months" is utter crap, and have him change things up. Today we were weak all over, and it's recognizably his setup. It's not working, Sean!
  10. Yeah, no idea why it's given a penalty. And now the match is turned on its head by that call, so ... I'd be mad, were I Moyes. Or a West Ham supporter.
  11. As one of the resident Norwegians here, and as a heavy user of trains (I have never had a driver's lisence), let me tell you that our train system is extremely inefficient and will compare poorly to just about any European provider. I've only taken a train in the UK once (Cambridge - Southampton and back), and I didn't have issues on that trip. I do know that my local train is delayed as a matter of priciple, and the regional train (Stavanger - Oslo) has a 1 in 3 chance of being late. Also, it takes 49 minutes longer than what it did 20 years ago. /derail
  12. Typical. Still, if he'd been competent, we'd won. Instead, we were Dyched by Moyes.
  13. Beto is a hardworking striker. Strong. Decent hold-up player. But man, is his finishing sh*t. Straight at the keeper one-on-one, and then he misses a penalty. If we can get about what we gave for him in the summer, I'd say send him straight out again.
  14. This game is just to show you can't give City (and Haaland) space behind the defense to use. Credit to Luton for having a go. It didn't go well. ETA: seems I may have spoken sooner than I should. Also, Ross, whyever did you leave us?
  15. Yeah, think it's meant to be a penultimate book. And, given that the series is *good*, it'd be a shame to rush the ending.
  16. Wonder what his reasoning is? "Well, he was an assistant with our local rivals, and he's now doing a great job at a club he played for - so it makes sense he'll join United"?
  17. Tbf, she was always likely to beat or equal Rothfuss. Every person writing something will beat or equal him.
  18. Considering how utterly mediocre he was at Brighton and lost at sea at Everton, it seems Maupay is a system player. He thrives in Brentford's system, and suddenly his finishing is Not Shit.
  19. So we're safe for now. Until the next breach. But we're above Forest, so even if we lose more points, I guess we'll still have that ... maybe. Who knows? Process is clear as a Trump statement.
  20. Weird that Chelsea didn't keep up the pace from the end of the match, considering the youthfulness of the Liverpool team. But Liverpool trust their system and manager, while Chelsea don't really trust anything much, and that does mean something.
  21. Wonder how the match would look if the pitch was great, rather than ... what it seems today. Not terrible, but not very good either.
