Well, that was something. Going to have to watch it again in a couple of days. In terms of predictions, I guess i nailed two of them, i think?

Marcia is a character that took a strange turn in season 2. Ive wondered if they originally had a different arc for her. She was set up to be this mysterious figure with a past that was hidden from even Shiv's investigators. She knows about Ken killing the waiter (and so does her son) and there were moments when she seemed to be playing a game (Logan even comments about that by saying something like "She's playing her own games"). And then she just...gets replaced and is shopping in Milan forever. Could just be the the showrunners commenting on how quickly people like Logan replace those in their lives once they dont have a use for them, but I'm not convinced.

Yeah, duh. Imagine a Russel Westbrook type bowling into those twigs. It hurts to even think about.

Let's be real for a moment here. In what world is that dude not injury plagued for his entire career? I don't want to take anything away from him talent wise, but that body was not meant to bang into huge grown ass men night after night.

Celtics just...quit. Pretty crazy to see Spo and the G-League All Stars totally snatch their will to win away. Really puts into perspective just how bad Harden was in Games 6 and 7.

Our predications are now aligned (made mine some weeks back). Haven't thought about Tom as CEA by way of Matsson, but that actually makes a lot of sense. Maybe they'll finally get that portrait of themselves to hang up in their dining room, as Tom wanted. EDIT - Oh man, what if it's Greg? Ultimately, while i enjoy trying to predict what might happen, that's not the point of this show. No matter who "wins" everyone loses. The emotionally stunted narcissist billionaires, all the people who have to eat and clean up their shit, and the world at large. We're stuck in a downward spiral in which the ruling class gets dumber while remaining oblivious to anything but themselves. Or maybe it's always been this way. It's SOOO cool being a human being.

Again, fucking incredible. The writing and acting on this remains unmatched. Ken's speech was touching in its way but also extremely cynical and pompous. A microcosm of the shit-show we're living in. That was by far the longest episode to date. One more to go, and it's going to be movie length, at about 90 minutes.

Spo for playoff MVP

Just took a bit of a deep dive into NBA stats. Since 1990 the only reigning MVP to have a worse elimination game than Embiid is arguably David Robinson in 1995, but that was at least in the conf finals, and Robinson probably had more of an impact than Embiid did last night. Minus 28 and minus 30 for Embiid and Harden is just...disgusting.

76ers shot more fts than the Celtics. At one point 76ers got THREE WHOLE calls that could have gone either way. League was trying to rig this game too. What a scam. Fuck the NBA. Doc has got to go, but that was a pathetic performance by Embiid. Harden too, but that's just Harden being Harden. Embiid went 5-18 and got bodies all game by a 36 year old dude. Hopefully he stops politicing for MVPs and focuses on actually winning from now on.
