  1. I gave up on her show story. But I think we'll like her book story. ;)
  2. I suspect GRRM has no such ending planned, since they just tossed that marriage aside like it was nothing, it will be tossed aside in the books, too.
  3. There were plenty of people Sansa could talk to in her storyline. Sweetrobin (who is older), Mya, Myranda (add her to Sansa's story, not Ramsay's), Lothor Brune (already introduced). That's only one added character. There are already Vale lords. Her story was full of the game of thrones and the history and lore of Westeros, not to mention learning the weaknesses of one of the political masterminds, an up close look at how he plays the game, and how to take him down. Also full of character development for a main character who is also a Stark, Sansa, who has received very little character development on the show, and is currently playing another character altogether.
  4. All of this. Nicely stated. They've destroyed this character and her story.
  5. No doubt. Empowerment! Unless they go there with the Rosemary's Baby subplot.
  6. And they are such good storytellers! My hat is off to them.
  7. They've even said themselves, Sansa is LF's one weakness. So what do they do? Separate them. Have her take the place of a minor character in a plot with characters she's never interacted with and is ill prepared to face. Darth Sheep is driven to the slaughterhouse, from episodes 1 to 6. The sacrificial virgin has been brutally raped by the devil. I'd rather have Manderly and a couple of Vale scenes, too.
  8. Yep. Sansa's storyline actually applies to the Game of Thrones, she's learning how to bring down Littlefinger. But no need, just throw her into a melodramatic sacrificial virgin raped by the devil low budget horror flick. Why not Arya replacing fArya? Then they could have kept the very dramatic Jon and Arya storyline (a much better storyline than the Ramsay storyline they LOVED), where he's motivated by the love of his little sister. As he's dying, saying stick them with the pointy end, Arya could stick Ramsay with the pointy end.
  9. The bullshit piles up, and all that's left is, they wanted Sansa to get raped. RAMSAY had this storyline they loved and they wanted to USE Sansa. That's what they said. That's what they did.
  10. This, too. Even if we set aside the soul destroying trauma of this marriage (which her family would never want for her), and the complete stupidity of it, since she's already a Stark, and the whole reason Robb wrote the will was because he didn't want this to happen... She provides the family killers with an heir so they can kill her, too! That will teach them! Robb and Alys both said that's what happens, they get the heir, they kill the mother:
  11. Indeed! And Pia was raped, too. Her story MUST be told! A main character MUST play this minor character! That was their rationale for Sansa. So let's see this applied equally to other main characters.
  12. All of this. Great post. Disgusting. Hateful. Sexist. Offensive. Trash.
  13. Yep, the strawmen are piled up sky high. That's the best way to take them on. And it does help to laugh.
  14. Just quoting a little, but the whole thing was perfect. Thank you, I needed to laugh.
  15. ... and scream in pain with every thrust by a woman-hating psycho rapist. The rape of a teenage virgin was more graphic than most of the consensual sex scenes.
  16. Pre-rape spin of empowerment! And the way they talk, LF is the best thing that ever happened to Sansa. He just wanted to empower her! Don't blame him!
  17. I just figure the younger ones are about the age of the actors, makes it easier that way. And Westeros is different... But Tommen could love both Margaery and Ser Pounce, older guys like animals, too.
  18. I really loved that! I read part 1 again, too, and you told the story so beautifully. The part I think the author pulls off so nicely is there are all of these truly horrible things going on around them, but here they are, wherever they find themselves, in the midst of the sweetest love story in the series. I love the way you showed how even though they found themselves in difficult situations, they made choices, and they were choices to love. Each other, and Dalla's baby. And the nicely shown contrast of the way Sam's father and Gilly responded to Sam. Also the marital symbolism, and I hope that's in their future, after all they have been through. And I love that you went there with the fat pink mast! Like you said, Gilly seems to like the cut of his jib just fine. :)
  19. Loved your take on Mercy! I meant to comment on that before...
  20. Thanks! :) They all did such a nice job. It's a collection of individual re-reads, and there is more on the way. This was meant to be a sort of "love wiki" - a place where you could read about the stories, the things that are usually left out of chapter summaries - romance!
