  1. Well, there didn't seem to be too many young or baby Frey boys at the massacre, so I imagine there are still plenty out there.. Also, isn't Edmure imprisoned at RIverrun? Everybody seems to be asking if Arya set him free, but I never thought he was supposed to be at the Twins.
  2. 8/10 - opening episodes always usually the weakest, setting up stuff. Shoulda probably given it an extra bonus point for Oldtown coming up and a flyover of 'inn at the crossroads' in the credits. Some nice moments throughout though and still a coupla things I wasn't expecting. Hurry up next week!
  3. Melessa Tarly (Samantha Spiro) guested in the Doctor Who finale 'The Doctor Falls' over the weekend. I think that brings the tally of GoT actors in Who to 36.
  4. Ummmm what?? For nearly 20yrs, some ppl have been saying 'Slay Sir-win' instead of 'Cley Cerwyn'????
  5. 9/10 A bit more Disney-cheese than I usually like this week and still a few annoying moments. But still plenty of good stuff and a few unexpected events - eg Tommen and Frey Pie. Positioned very nicely for however many episodes we have left. See you next year, GoT-fans (and the 1/10 Club).
  6. 8/10 just... Was expecting a little bit more action along with the obvious set-ups still needed for the epic end of the season. A few surprises in there although a bunch of cheesy waste-of-time scenes (Pod/Bronn for one). My eyes start to roll whenever Tyrion appears this season as I know it's just gonna be some unnecessary and unfunny jokes and cliches over a goblet of wine. On the positive side, the banning of trial-by-combat was an unexpected twist, though everything else in KL progresses as expected. The fall of Riverun was a bit disappointing. Would have expected the Blackfish to put an arrow in Edmure's head before lowering the drawbridge, since he knew what would come of it. Even his speech about not leaving his 'home' didn't resonate with me since he happily spent most of the last decade in the Vale, though I guess this was glossed over in the show. I'm guessing Brienne & Pod may be running into the Brotherhood soon but will be interesting to see how this plays without LSH calling ths shots. I'm not absolutely sure what the situation is regarding Dany's return, so guess I'll have to wait for next week to find out what the story is in Mereen. A bonus point for Arya leaving Braavos at long last, as long as the next two episodes don't just see her hanging round wharves (or acting troupes) looking for a berth. My anticipation for next week is pretty close to where it was before the Red Wedding episode, so here's hoping for a 10/10.
  7. 8/10 I've been annoyed all season thinking 'why the flint would they make a huge effort to even get to Bear Island?' but the brilliant Lyanna Mormont made me forget all about teleporters and private jets
  8. 7/10 - as expected, a bit of a lull after the last couple of eps
  9. 9/10 It is interesting to feel like an unsullied again after all these years when watching and nice to have some surprises - even if I didn't love all of them 100%. I've given up on wondering how fast Littlefinger's private jet is and marvelling at the speed of wi-fi all over Westeros but things like Sansa's sewing speed still tend to irk me. I wasn't that thrilled to hear the mention of House Hornwood either. Overall, just happy to see the story progressing.
  10. And when many of us enjoyed this episode more than any other for ages, seeing your posts today is like watching someone beating (over and over again) the girl we still love dearly..
  11. Can't give it a 10, but happy with a 9 and a long-awaited return to some serious story progression. Will have to watch again soon
  12. I'm not sure there are any 'legal' sites where you can find it, but I've seen excerpts in the usual places..
  13. A bit better than the first two episodes so a generous 8/10. No surprises in there at all really. Some of the dialogue was still pretty pedestrian and too much empty staring into space and time-wasting throughout. At least in Tyrion's pointless scene he avoided the same old cock jokes this week. Thought Jon would at least have had some kinda bonding scene with Ghost after he was vertical.
  14. 8/10 Some good stuff but still quite a few turgid scenes
  15. Wasn't expecting much as first episodes are always a bit meh. But I was disappointed with some of the dialogue, especially the Wall and Meereen scenes. The only interesting thing to me was the Dorne scenes which everyone else seems to hate lol. But yeah - not really sure why Trystane was still on the boat; 6/10
  16. Watched the old TV series 'Edward VII' the other week. Was strange to see a young Tywin Lannister in it
  17. 7/10 - pretty ho-hum really and thought there was a lot of 'dead air'. Hopefully next season starts with a bang.
  18. meant to rate 9/10 but clicked 8.. #fail.. Best episode of this series for sure. As a book-reader it is an interesting feeling to have chills running through you as you watch; not quite being sure what will happen next :)
  19. Yeah that raven carrying the scroll to the Boltons that Jon had to sign as Lord Commander a few episodes back wouldn't have given em a clue, would it?
  20. Ummm why are people asking if LF's gift is Sweetrobin or Gendry? I thought it was obviously Lancel.
  21. They were just practice pits for the slave owner
