Somewhere between 8 and 9, but I just went with 8. I just missed that mind blown feeling. And I also got the impression that it was pretty repetitive. And then there were the absolute filler scenes. Yes. I'm glad I went with 8. It was amusing though, made me laugh out loud a couple times. Sophie Turner was amazing in the garden scene, Cersei was finally truly Cersei. I really liked Bronn and Tyrion and Hot Pie is a sweetheart.

Meh. 7. The whole episode felt like a big filler. Nothing really happened. Just talking and talking and talking and more talking. Sometimes it did make me laugh, other times I was just bored. It was an overall, "Oh, it's already over? But nothing happened yet!" feeling. And I also feel like they are writing scenes for the actors and not the characters or the story. Lena Headey and Pedro Pascal are very cool and Lena Headey and Charles Dance are very cool too, but what exactly was the point of these scenes? Balon Greyjoy is still alive, Lady Stoneheart nowhere, Iron Banker nowhere, there's so much stuff yet to happen, but we are in this casual slow motion mode. Well, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams shined this episode at least.

7. It wasn't bad or anything... it was like Sam trying to start a fire. Sparks and all, but no fire at the end of the day. I don't get why people say Emilia Clark can't act. I don't see how she's any worse than Sophie Turner or Lena Headey. I'm just fine with her. The Gilly filler was way too long and absolutely pointless in every possible way. How could Gilly possibly be more safe in a town where people go whoring all the time with nobody to protect her than at Castle Black among people sworn to celibacy whose majority would even protect her (including Sam, Aemon, Jon, Pyp, Grenn and Edd)??? That's -1 in itself. Boobs - check, deaths - check, Charles Dance being awesome - check, humor - check... but overall it was still just one big Meh.

8/10 Genius: Pedro Pascal, Tywin melting down the Stark symbols, dragons Great: Oberyn stabbing random Lannister, Ellaria/Oberyn, Arthur Dayne and Rhaegar/Elia mention Funny: Margaery's necklace comment, Joff's statue, "What the fuck's a Lommy?", Bronn/Oberyn exchange, Jon's comment on Janos Slynt, Aemon's King's Landing comment Lame: tavern fight scene, Brienne/Tyrells scene Disappointment: new Daario Naharis (they can't get it right)

Hi everyone! I'm from Hungary and came across the series through the HBO show last summer. I started reading the books around Christmas and finished A Dance with Dragons about a fortnight ago or so. I love both the books and the show. A little anecdote about how I found this forum. So if you enter a writer's name and the word 'is' into Google you'll get funny results. Some months ago if you entered Stephenie Meyer is... the first option Google offered was Stephenie Meyer is fat (sorry Twilight fans, if there's any of you around here). We had a great laugh about that with my friends back then. Maybe it was boredom or just fate, but I happened to enter 'george rr martin is' and Google offered 'george rr martin is a pervert'. Now I had to know why is the poor guy a pervert and that's how I found an already closed discussion of this forum about whether Martin hated women or not. And I started browsing the forum and got hooked. So I don't think poor Martin is a pervert, but the story turned out well, because I kinda like this forum. That'd be it. And I'm member of the GOT and ASOIAF spots on fanpop.com too, in case any of you guys have an account there we might have already seen each other in this great virtual universe. Who knows? :D :dunno:
