Jaime Lannister capable only of an impossible love, suffers endlessly. He is solitary, languid, his condition exhausts him. If he wants to feel alive, it must be in the terrible exaltation of a brief and destructive action.

my opinion on Uncat: "Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."

my opinion on Tywin Lannister: "Wisdom is far the chief element in happiness and, secondly, no irreverence towards the gods. But, great words of haughty men exact in retribution blow"

All stories are about wolves. All worth repeating, that is. Anything else is sentimental drivel. …Think about it. There's escaping from the wolves, fighting the wolves, capturing the wolves, taming the wolves. Being thrown to the wolves, or throwing others to the wolves so the wolves will eat them instead of you. Running with the wolf pack. Turning into a wolf. Best of all, turning into the head wolf. No other decent stories exist.

The quote is from the Blind Assassin, by Margaret Atwood. A writer offers his opinion about storytelling and he approaches story arcs as parallels to wolves and people's attitude towards them. Apart from the Starks, I think that the situuation described can apply to other characters in asoiaf as well, such as LF, Jaime, Tywin. As for Jon, yeah, I think that he will evolve to the head wolf.

Incredible drama unfolded in Fortaleza when Georgios Samaras converted a stoppage-time penalty to secure Greece a 2-1 victory over Côte d'Ivoire to set up a Round of 16 clash against Costa Rica at the FIFA World Cup™.
