  1. Yeah, I think the warging stuff is just inherently more difficult on screen than it is in text too. Would be tough to show how Jon's mind was in a wolf's body visually.
  2. Pretty sure they film regular wolves and then scale them up, which is why they look kind of funky when they move. I also think that's why they don't use the wolves much, as they always look out of place, much more so than the dragons, strangely.
  3. Well, Qyburn knows and had just finished talking to Tyrion, so Euron may just assume that Qyburn told him.
  4. Well, it would be a bit of a spoiler if they were like, "Nah, he's just going to kill her don't worry."
  5. I think he's lying about going back to her. He can't well bring his new girlfriend back with him when he pretends to go crawling back to his sister/lover.
  6. Yeah, I definitely didn't think he'd be getting killed off in episode three.
  7. I mean, the Night King is kind of an asshole on the show. Stared Jon down while raising all the fallen wildlings at Hardhome. Pretended he was going to take Jon on in single combat last night, but then smugly raised the dead around him and walked away. Smirked at Dany when her dragonfire did jack shit to kill him. Maybe he just wanted to look Bran in the eye when he killed him so Bran knew he was beat?
  8. I think we'll definitely get Winds, and I suspect it will be announced shortly after the show ends. Obviously more dubious we'll get Dream, although maybe once Martin ties up a lot of the loose plot threads that have been slowing him down he'll be able to get through Dream quicker. Probably not but who knows?
  9. I think the two stories will tie into each other in the books, as I think Euron is pretty obviously serving the Others and will probably be the one to bring the Wall down after using his hellhorn to bind one of Dany's dragons to him. No idea where the show is going with him since they stripped away basically everything that makes him interesting in the books and just made him a generic prick.
  10. It was kind of refreshing for the good guys' plan to actually work out for once on the first try. That alone is subverting genre cliches.
  11. In the books they mention that they give livestock when the Others come and they have no boys to give, so clearly there's something beyond just turning the kids into white walkers.
  12. In the books, I believe fire is the only way to kill the wights too, so clearly the show has changed things. I'm guessing the fire thing was changed because having to set every single wight on fire to kill it would make filming a battle like tonight incredibly troublesome.
  13. I found the episode itself to be highly entertaining but the show has kinda gone off the rails plot-wise and I found them beating the Night King in episode three to be a bit anticlimactic.
  14. I mean, it was visually spectacular.
  15. The second Long Night actually only lasted about 70 minutes.
  16. I found that to be incredibly entertaining and gripping while simultaneously being ultimately disappointed by it. The Night King went down too easy. I will say that I can definitely see the books playing out something like this, with Cercei (and, thus, mankind) being the true big bad.
  17. I feel like Dolorous Edd would have found some ironic appreciation in the fact that he was the first named character to die.
  18. To be fair, the Riverlands and the Vale fought to protect the Starks in Robert's Rebellion, so likely the northerners have a high opinion of houses from those regions. Further, Jon Arryn was like a second father to Ned and that seems like reasonably common knowledge, and Ned was married to a Tully and all the Starks still alive sans Jon have Tully blood.
  19. The fact that everything seems so paint by numbers good versus evil right now makes me think there's some sort of twist coming. Plus, the marketing materials this season showed the Night King with the seven pointed star in his eye.
  20. Targaryens don't abide by the laws of the gods.
  21. I wish someone would just point out that them getting married would solve basically every problem.
  22. Except for the entire episode that leaked earlier today. Kudos to them for keeping the episode title secret, though.
  23. That episode was a lot of fan service, but I'm sort of okay with that given that we're about to see a lot of these characters die a week from now.
  24. Kind of strange to think she's 22 now given she was just a kid when the show started.
  25. I think you missed my point. What WWE is missing is stories with emotion and history. If you watch the video above, Goldust cuts a great promo that outlines the problems he and Cody have with each other and it really makes you want to watch the match. It's just a good bit of wrestling hype, the kind of stuff WWE doesn't do well any more. It reminded me a lot of the training video NXT made for Gargano/Cole where it showed Cole training at these expensive facilities in Florida while Gargano went back home to Cleveland and trained at the places he trained at when he was just starting out in the business. It told the story of who both guys were while also outlining the differences between them and also completing Johnny's face/heel/face character arc that has been ongoing for almost two years.
