  1. I'm just relieved its over, and we got some major plot points confirmed.
  2. these are the reasons I gave it a score of 1.
  3. i think he recognised him, he just didn't want him to kill himself by charging a dragon,he is his brother after all.
  4. This was good (gave it an 8) way better than the first 3 despite more teleporting across the continent. mainly because dragons.
  5. I liked this better than the past two because 1) loose ends tied up-we know who got Joffrey! 2)no more snakes 3)Bran in Winterfell asking for Jon but seriously, whats with stone faced Daenerys?
  6. I struggled to find much of worth watching here, I gave it a 1 because -ridiculous,unnecessary GW/Misandei.seriously, who cares! -no Bran -Arya character becoming predictable & rather boring -Littlefinger still lives -sand snakes, Ellaria On the bright side, I was REALLY happy the snakes died!
  7. how did i not see the Dune similarities before...once pointed out, so obvious!
  8. I give it a 5. Not terrible, mostly what was expected, but Ed Sheeran's painfully prolonged cameo, an empty dragonstone & Sam 'discovering' the bleeding obvious dragged it down considerably for me.
  9. I thought Jon & Sansa were off to the northern houses too, only Brienne is going to the Riverlands to contact the Blackfish.Thats why Jon needed that Stark cloak-he needs to look the part of Ned's son to the other Northern Lords.Ans why would Sansa's primary aim be to wack Freys? at this point its Bolton blood she's baying for.
  10. hello i am a closet heretic, i am looking forward to reading all those essays.
  11. i give it a 6/10, mainy because i was glad to see some progression in the stroy and glad to see this torture of a season end. good bits: -WoS -Robert Strong & Qyburn -Daario & Jorah seemingly about to go off and go head to head -Mel back at wall, looks like a clue to say Jon will be undeaded soon -Davos lives Middling bit: -knowing Selyse & Stannis die, and at least Battle of Winterfell is over -Sansa/Jeyne & Theon's arcs sort of kind of back to book level, they have jumped, I assume lived, and are in the snow trying to keep away from Ramsay. I expect next season will see them with Brienne & eventually at the wall where they can tell Davos to go find Rickon. bad bits: -Dorne.I love book Dorne. Why make Ellaria her polar opposite? Why reduce Doran to a weak, ineffectual, easily fooled buffoon?why sacrifice Trystane? I really hope we dont ever go to Dorne again on the series. -FTW. Thorne?Sign stuck on wall?Sam abandoning Jon? Where's Ghost, & Wun Wun? How does Jon stay upright after being stabbed 5/6 times?no warging clues -Myrcella dying after cheesy father/daughter moment -Jaime's cheesy father/daughter moment I am actually relieved this is over for another year.
  12. 1) arab/mediterranean appearance, in a wheelchair, dark hair greying at temples, handsome but careworn. Disfigured extremities (I imagine gouty type lesions on hands and feet). Based on book but also on Dorne itself; it strkes me as a mediterranean cross arab climate and this is what I imagine its ruler would look like due to where he is. 2) I always thought of him as Doran since readin the books, but more of him as he appeared in Syriana. I think the way they have portrayed him on the show is sterner, crueler and somehow more of a short term thinker than I imagine Doran. 3) Yes, DS9 and Syriana. He was my favourite character in Ds9. Happy to see him in GoT, he is a marvellous actor who we don't see enough of. Watched Syriana many years ago, when i read the books for the first time his Syriana character immediately came to mind as Doran. 4) No, not interested in what the actor thinks of his character, just in the character itself.
