R.O.Edwards
1. Catelyn stark- lady stoneheart2. Gregor Clegane- Robert Strong3. Beric Dondarion- Beric 1,2,3,4,54. Aegon Targeryen- dead for books then a major player in a few chaptersthese are the most obvious ones and now I'm reading theories that Rhaeger is alive etc and it's accepted that Jon Snow will live. One thing about this series that grabbed me was Eddard Stark dying.... how often does the hero die.Has death lost it's meaning with so many come backs? Are other people we have been told are dead going to come back/ resurface? Sullen
Scratch Aegon, and I agree. (He wasn't resurrected) But the worst is the eventual resurrection of Jon Snow.
Addam of Hull
I don't really think so. A few resurrected characters from the pool of like a hundred dead ones isn't really a big deal to me.
Northbound
But the worst is the eventual resurrection of Jon Snow.Oh, be nice. It will be a festive and glorious occasion, for all. :-)For the OP: I think it becomes to much, when done in the same fashion(Berric and Cat.) I don't think the rebirth of Jon, will have anything to do with the Red God...I hope. If it does, then it will feel repetitive to me.

No but we was told he was dead and then his not, resurrections was the easiest way to word it.
Dr. Pepper
Quite frankly, I expected resurrection to be much more common in this series after reading the prologue. I thought it would be some zombie stuff mixed up in medieval-ish fantasy. One thing I appreciate about the resurrections is that there are severe consequences. It's a worse fate than actual death. Dead Wolf
Too many resurrections is exactly why Jon should stay dead
Sullen
Hint: if Theon gives his life for Jon, that could work out well too? NO.
R.O.Edwards
Are you talking about Dany's pyre and the birth of dragons ?so that a life has to be bought for another life ?
Ser Onaventea Helms
Not the biggest fan of Lady Stoneheart but that's because it was at the expense of Beric.... But yeah there's definitely too many resurrections in the books now. Hope they just leave it with the current amount + Jon.

Are other people we have been told are dead going to come back/ resurface? You forgot all the wights. Lots of them It's just a part of the story. As DrP said, these characters are changed when they come back. It's interesting, and something the reader has to accept.

Addam of Hull
I feel dumb now, because I thought the resurrection aspect was cool. :frown5: Don't feel dumb. You're allowed to like different aspects of the story. Plenty of people agree with you, myself included. Or nobody gets sacrificed for Jon because he isn't that important Or he just doesn't need someone to be sacrificed to come back.
Sullen
Based on... a general dislike for all things traditional? So it is traditional to want to kill the most complex and well-written so that Jon "Interesting as a wet potato" Snow can live?

As Wolfswood said, plenty agree with you, myself included. I always figure that being upset with the resurrections is like reading a prologue that includes superman and then getting pissed that superheros show up elsewhere in the series.
