Castellan
Of course, whenever I have to re-read, the book I need is the only one I can't find. Maybe its something idiomatic like a breastplate with nipples - I can't think of other ASOIF examples. A nonsense object, rare and useless. Nuncle Patchwell
A warm-hearted shadow! […] Her flesh was whiter, the color of milk, and it seemed to Arya that her eyes were red, though it was hard to tell from the bushes. “The old gods stir and will not let me sleep,” she heard the woman say. “I dreamt I saw a shadow with a burning heart butchering a golden stag, aye. Castellan
clever i think a shadow is a character myself, it can butcher a stag!
Nuncle Patchwell
i think a shadow is a character myself, it can butcher a stag! Not sure if a dreamt one. Moreover, at this point of plot probably no one would consider a shadow to be a character. On the other hand you may be right. I am taking it back. Evermind
I don't have the book at hand (only ACOK here at work), so I don't remember exact wording, but could it be the gown made of leaves Tom sings about in one of Arya chapters? It happens after Arya tears up the dress Lady Smallwood gave her.
a free shadow
No. It is also not an oak tree Gendry said she looked like :ninja:
Evermind
Oak tree made of wood, don't fit. Gown of leaves is made of (surprise) leaves, most certainly do not exist, not mythical, quite rare, holds no value, not a paper or letter or book, spoken of by Tom (in song) and Lady Smallwood (she said she doesnt have such gowns), and never properly seen on page. This is a cruel game, I give up.
