Dornish water witches

We hear that Rhoynar had water wizards, whose powers on Rhoyne included causing waterspouts. These they deployed against Valyrians and their dragons - victoriously against 3 dragons, unsuccessfully against 300.

Most adult men, even of Ny Sar, had marched and died with Garin, over objections of Nymeria. So even a bit over 4 years later, the people arriving in Rhoyne were 4/5 women. The 1/5 males would have included the boys who had grown up in these slightly over four years of wandering... but also the boys who were still little. And, since there had been few adult men in the beginning, there would have been few conceptions in these four years of wandering.

Now, the newcomers arrived near Planky Town, and Sandship. And when they allied with Martells, they increased the Martell hosts tenfold.

Put it another way - they outnumbered Martell hosts 9 to 1.

But all these hosts were also mouths that had to eat and drink!

Even more crucially, it is said the Rhoynish water witches knew secret spells that made dry streams flow again and deserts bloom.

Where did the Rhoynish water witches have the occasion to learn them? Mother Rhoyne is not particularly renowned for running dry.

And are Dornish water witches still operating in Dorne and using secret spells to keep Dorne livable?

Would ser Eustace Osgrey and lady Rohanne Webber have welcomed a Dornish water witch making Chequy Water flow again by secret spells?

Still wondering what was in that letter. Aegon had dragons but not that many, not the 300 or so that defeated the Rhoynish. I think there were only six? Dornish water witches could have been a big threat to him now he was not part of a huge Valyrian dragon force.

For real, I have a feeling the Art is mostly lost, or at least VERY limited, sounds like Garth Greenhand though. Maybe he learned a thing or two from Rhoynish Water Witches??

Well, as to your question, the Rhoynar occupied Mother Rhoynes tributaries also, so if one of these ran dry (through force of nature somehow), such spell might be useful, so Mother Rhoyne might bestow that power, seems like something a diety named Mother would do
