What will Justin Massey do in Winds? [TWOW spoilers]

The world book lists a bunch of sell sword companies not in Slavers Bay. We have to consider the Arya chapter in relation to Justin Massey. Presumably He has not arrived yet, but Harys Swifts party is already down 1 guard and tensions are going to be running kinda high. If Massey and Nestoris show up with a contract it will be a dramatic event. Sams chapter in AFFC where Arya saves him from the Bravo's should not be ignored either. Apparently there are tons of bored swordsmen juts wandering around Bravos picking fights, perhaps they will want the Iron Banks gold.

The main theatre for sellsword employment in Westeros has always been the Disputed Lands in the southwest. With several of the more prominent companies already in or headed for Slaver's Bay, opportunities will abound for those companies left behind in the DLs. They're probably raising their prices and trying to play Myr, Lys, and Tyrosh off against each other. Braavos relies primarily on their navy, although I'm sure they have some forces on the continent. Pentos isn't allowed to have sellswords, according to their treaty with Braavos. The upshot - I doubt there are many true sellsword companies around Braavos, and any that are there will be firmly under contract already. The bravos that prowl around the Free Cities at night with their fencing swords aren't real soldiers, and would be useless on a battlefield. Massey will have to head south to find any companies to hire.

Ibbison from Ibben, Massey will hire (or be presented with) an elite force trained by the bearded priests and some Ibbenese supplements, they're best suited for the war in the cold.

The only question is wether Mellario will interfere in some way. ;)

(This post was only half un-serious.)

It would be pretty cool, not to mention rife with delightful little ironies if Massey hired Aurane Water's with the money that Stannis received from the Iron Bank. Stannis has already proved that he is willing to hire pirates and Massey probably already knows Aurane Water's personally, as they both served Stannis during the Battle of the Blackwater. Not to mention the fact that having Kings Landing sacked by a fleet of ships that Cercei herself had built, seems like just the sort of thing that George RR Martin would find funny.
