I agree Penny was a poor character and an obvious writer's tool - but I can't see how it was in poor taste. The point of her as a foil was to show that Tyrion had not reconciled being a dwarf with himself, that he didn't like his own dwarfism and rejected sexual attraction to a dwarf because of it. This would have been an incredibly complex thing for a talented dwarf actor to try and portray, an opportunity which I believed Dinklage would have jumped at, if he was truly a talented actor and not just a one trick celebrity. Arya_Stormborn Posted June 16, 2016 Share Posted June 16, 2016 I think the reason that so many people in the show (first Yara and now Tyrion) keep telling other people to drink is that the directors know everyone in the audience has to be drinking while watching or they wouldn't be able to wash down all this nonsense.
