Theory Aemond Targaryen Is Daemon Targaryen's Son?

Recommended Posts

Their is a scandal put forth by George RR Martian. Aemond Targaryen is the son of Daemon Targaryen.

Reasons/Evidence:

  1. Both Daemon Targaryen and Aemond Targaryen have similar personalities. Both are hot tempered, amoral, and reckless. Aemond does not resemble King Viserys. Personalities are often give clues to their parentage like Cersei is compared to the Mad King.
  2. Daemon Targaryen had a relationship with Alicent Hightower. Daemon got mad when his brother was marrying Alicent. He flogged the servant for bringing news to him.
  3. Daemon would had slept with Alicent to get back at Otto and his brother.
  4. Notice Aemond has a deep hatred for Daemon, and Aemond tries to prove himself.
  5. Aemond killed one of The Strong Boys, because he was jealous of their affection that Daemon was giving them.
  6. Daemon can sneak into the castle because he knows the passages or he can glamour himself.
  7. Aemond is Daemon. Clever word play.

I can post more. I think you got the point.

Nowhere in the canon text. That was a rumour once in TRP but was left out in F&B.

F&B tells us pretty well why Aemond killed Lucerys.

No way Alicent slept with Daemon in 109 or 110 (the guy wasn't even in KL then), when it was clear that Daemon was most opposing to her. She wouldn't have gained anything from that and just riskedher own death.

Their is nowhere in the text Jon Snow is a Targaryen. King Viserys wasn’t attractive. It mirrors Robert & Cersei. Cersei didn’t find Robert attractive.

The text is written by the victors. The book was written by the maesters. Daemon could sneak in, and glamour himself. Daemon started opposing her after Aemond was born.
