Ser Scot A Ellison
From the Arthur Dayne entry: Ser Arthur Dayne, known as the Sword of the Morning, was a famed knight and a member of Aerys II's Kingsguard. He was one of Prince Rhaegar's closest friends. His accomplishments include defeating the Kingswood Brotherhood and slaying the Smiling Knight. Jaime Lannister squired for him, and was knighted by him at the great Tourney at Harrenhal. He wielded the sword called Dawn, slung across his back.[1] He died at the Tower of Joy fighting Eddard Stark and his companions, but the exact circumstances of his death are unclear. I thought Jaime was Knighted by Dayne after fighting the Kingswood brotherhood? That he was already a knight when he was raised to the Kingsguard at Harrenhal? Is that not correct? Ran
You're right. And being a wiki, you could edit it yourself. :) But I can take care of it.Jaime was squire to Lord Sumner Crakehall, but Dayne did knight him following his deeds against the Kingswood Brotherhood, and his rise to the Kingsguard came afterward. Ser Scot A Ellison
Ran,Thanks. I know I can edit myself I just didn't know if I needed documentation to edit and I can't remember where I read that. I imagine it was in one of the Jamie Chapters in ASOS. Ran
Yeah, in ASoS. Here's the quote from the White Book:Served against the Kingswood Brotherhood as squire to Lord Sumner Crakehall. Knighted in his 15th year by Ser Arthur Dayne of the Kingsguard, for valor in the field. Chosen for the Kingsguard in his 15th year by King Aerys II Targaryen.
