Leif
Just wondering what people think. Would Stannis allow Mel to sacrifice Davos if it was sure to grant him something useful and notable - say a dragon or even the IT? Would it have to be something even more important - such as making Stannis AA without a doubt and giving him the power to combat the Others? Or do you think there's nothing that could make Stannis give Davos to R'hllor's flames? It's clear that Stannis isn't against sacrificing a child with his own blood if it helps his cause. But what about his closest friend?
Broken Fox
Yes. And that's why we love Stannis.
armidil0
Only if he was 100% positive. And even then i think it would be the biggest trouble in his life.

At this point Stannis is pretty much in "by any means necessary" mode.

Draco_Dracul
Yes, when his back is to the wall Stannis will always choose that which he believes will benefit him over what is right. It's not like he hasn't given up on his best friend before in order to get the recognition he feels he deserves.

Khal Iago
Unfortunately, I believe he would. And Davos would probably go willingly, bless his heart.

Toxspecific
Since we're doing these sort of questions these days I'd like to put in a few more regarding Stannis, just to continue the trend:Would Stannis castrate his whole army to make it more efficient like the Unsullied?Would Stannis give his infant son to the flames if Melisandre told him to?Why did Stannis cause the Doom of Old Valyria? Why did Stannis save the Wall? Now that was singularly cruel. Why does Stannis not worship the Seven? Is he mean or something?Would Stannis throw Shireen off the Wall if Mel told him to?Would Stannis throw Mel off the Wall if she told him to?All such valid questions. And best thing about them is you don't even need to toss characterization out the window!

And best thing about them is you don't even need to toss characterization out the window!Hmmm...I think Stannis might throw Mel off the Wall if she told him to throw Shireen off the Wall.As to the rest, Stannis has no son; had no part in the Doom of Valyria; has no clue about the Unsullied, as far as I know; and he saved the NW from the Wildlings, not the Wall. Small difference, but there it is.

unSonofStannis
Yes its possible but I don't think so unless if Davos becomes a believer in the Red God (which is what Ive been waiting for) and urges Stannis to do so then definetley yes.
