GRRM went to all that trouble to set up some sort of bond between Jon and Tyrion in AGOT, but Tyrion's name is mud at the moment, and it's not like he was the most popular Hand before he was a noseless, notorious kingslayer and kinslayer. Also, I'm not sure Tyrion will live long enough to be in the running.Hard to think of a second choice, but Davos might work.
