So who would actually support an undead Jon?

So let's say that Jon Snow is dead after his stabbing. Let's say that he is brought back to life by Mel. My question is would any one on the wall follow a risen corpse, despite who he was before death?

The wildlings are fleeing the others and the wights (risen corpses) the threat of these two are so great that they are willing to put aside their differences and march south (which historically has failed 100% of the time.) So from the wildling perspective they flee snow zombies ust to see a strange red witch, who had made them symbolically give up their religion, bring a man back to life. Why would they follow him? Why would they not immediately set fire to his stupid zombie face?

The Night's Watch was also just slaughtered by wights at the fist of the first men, they've seen undead crows attack the LC. They would have to be just as terrified by Jon being brought to life.

I just don't think that Mel bringing him back would leave him with many options supporter wise. Maybe if the Val theory is true he would have the wildlings behind him but would probably still alienate his fellow brothers.

I don't know, just kinda thinking out loud.

If he is like Beric was then Mel/Val simply would say he was close to death but he will survive (if he is put in the ice cells for a few days until they know what to do then it will require more effort but I am sure the vast majority will support him in death as they did in life.)

I don't expect much of a personality change besides him being even more sullen and depressed and questioning what he is still doing in a place that he thinks doesn't want him.I feel he will stay at his post though as there is no one he can fully trust to lead the watch in the right direction (one that doesn't kill everyone)Would be nice if Blackfish shows up and Jon can leave him in charge while he goes south to be King In The North for awhile

Well, what I think is they might not see him die, and might just see him come out of the healer tent (so to speak) having been "healed" by Mel; and he likely won't have blue eyes of a Wight, and he may or may not be fairly normal depending on how long he's been dead. Beric resurrected by Thoros was pretty normal, not really "undead" at all, especially if he'd only been resurrected the first time or first couple of times. Obviously, the more times you're resurrected, the less of you truly survives, as far as memory and personality go. And the longer you stay dead, the less of you survives as far as humanity and soul goes. This is why UnCat is UnCat, and Beric is just Beric instead of UnBeric, and why UnGregor, if there will be an UnGregor, will be some sort of terrifying monstrosity.

And even if they do see him die and get resurrected... well, that just might make them True Believers, the way Thoros's resurrection of Beric did. Seeing someone die and come back to life is something of an eye-opener. Maybe they'd follow him even more... but from a distance, you know.

uh, is he a Beric well-mannered zombie or an "uhhhhhhhh" mumbling zombie who's reaching for my brain? It'd be more difficult to get the guys to follow a brain-reaching zombie, because then they'd have to be constantly worried about what's happening in front of them and in back to check if the LC is approaching looking hungry or just angry. I'm in favor of everyone going undead so we can just get that over with and steal the Others' thunder.
