GRRM mentioned on his blog that they cast Edward Dogliani as Rattleshirt. I found out from this post on tumblr, which has a picture of the guy....kind of looks like a chubby Russell Crowe.

As long as they get the unibrow going I'm fine with this casting.

ETA: but the fact that they're still announcing characters being cast, albeit more minor characters like RS, gives me a little more hope at least.

They have cast him for the Iceland shoot, which we know involves Jon.  So unless they are also doing Winterfell scenes in Iceland then it really doesn't change anything much.
