Davrum
I don't know whether D'Artagnan's behaviour would have been considered rape by deception, in France, when Dumas wrote the book. Such behaviour has been treated as rape by deception in England since the middle of the 19th century. There are quite a few juristictions still where it's either not a crime, or a lesser offence than rape. God, what a shithouse time it was to be alive back then. And, in some jurisdictions apparently, now.
Darth Richard II
God, what a shithouse time it was to be alive back then. And, in some jurisdictions apparently, now.Yeah. I never said rape by deception isn't rape, to clarify. It certainly is. I just had a fuzzy recollection of the book.
