Would you be upset of Jon Snow was a Dayne instead of a Targaryen?

I believe R+L = J but sometimes a wolf is just a wolf.  To say the man is 'definitely' Jon is a bit of a stretch.

Nor does that even make any sense seeing as Dany sees a wolf AND a fire man. She doesn't see a firemanwolf. She sees two separate entities so they can't mean one person. Nor would Lyanna be represented by a wolf, the Stark sigil, while Rhaegar is represented by a man on fire, when the Targaryen sigil is a 3 headed dragon if the argument's supposed to be that it represents Lyanna and Rhaegar making Jon.

And again why would something that's supposedly an R+L=J clue once again be found in Dany's story instead of Jon? You'd think we'd be finding all these things in Jon's story, but nope they're for some reason keep popping up in Dany's

Because GRRM will have Jon and Dany cross path???

He's gonna have Jon be the blue rose that filled the air with sweetness for Dany???

Sometimes she would close her eyes and dream of him, but it was never Jorah Mormont she dreamed of; her lover was always younger and more comely, though his face remained a shifting shadow.

For the rest of his life—however long that might be—he would be condemned to be an outsider, the silent man standing in the shadows who dares not speak his true name.

All in black, he was a shadow among shadows

Her captain slept beside her, yet she was alone

Even with Ygritte sleeping beside him, he felt alone.

Kingmonkey has a pretty interesting idea about this, dealing with repeating themes - Link

So?  Are you saying that a Jon Snow vision appears as standard in all magic performed by anybody that trained in Asshai?  Mel was performing entirely different magic.

Maybe because GRRM wanted to subtly guide the reader to such conclusion?

I don't know, you can agree to disagree.  Doesn't bother me.  :dunno:
