Really not that easy to see, if you're not paying close attention. Also I didn't like Luwin's loose robe that much, it looks very Franciscan. I always imagined him rather neat and stately. Tywin's bastard Posted April 24, 2011 Share Posted April 24, 2011 I think the show's version works well. One thing I've always wondered is how they made the chains just long enough. The maesters don't all master the exact same subjects as each other so do they have to decide what they want to learn before they've even tried? Otherwise they can't know how long to make each link, plus that they can't get any fatter than when they are done as they will choke on it.
