  1. They had a good game one. They were 28th in the regular season. They’re a jump shot reliant team that has few ways to get free points. Down the stretch Irving just manufactured buckets. Okc has no one like that.
  2. Nah feel pretty confident saying okc is in trouble. They’re not going to fix their rebounding issues and that is going to sink them. Dallas didn’t even shoot well today and won.
  3. They don’t need hot shooting. Look at this game. Dallas can shoot worse than OKC and still win because OKC has some real bad issues. Mainly they can’t rebound. If their seven footer is going to be pulling down sub ten rebounds a game they’re going to lose this series. OKC needs more toughness and board presence.
  4. If OKC loses today I don’t think they’re going to be able to win the series. Just worried they can’t match Dallas’ physicality. When PJ Washington is running over your team not a good thing. They’re a bit soft and I just don’t see that working out well in this matchup. And lol to whomever said Dallas would be lucky to win a game here.
  5. Game one I’d give you but game two Minnesota was very physical on defence and got some beneficial calls. I do agree this is clearly a makeup game. You better hope this isn’t the new norm otherwise unlikely the Wolves win.
  6. Well Denver fans thought Minnesota got away with fouls in the first two games. Just going to have to adapt.
  7. Doesn’t look like it so far. Was hoping the Wolves would show up tonight and put the finish on this series. Now it’s going to be back to wide open again.
  8. Denver is destroying the wolves tonight. We’ll see if they can make a comeback.
  9. Maybe wraps up with the fall of Osaka and the ending of Hideyoshi’s line?
  10. Jason Timpf is my go to guy for NBA stuff these days. And while I didn’t like what he said in his preview (I want OKC to win) there is a reason he thinks it’s a toss up with a slight lean to Dallas. Mainly OKC is a finesse team with not much oomph in them. We’re already seeing Giddey being played off the floor. To me Chet is going to have to overperform for the Thunder to win this series. Shai is going to get his but other than Chet and Williams I’m lukewarm on the rest of the Thunder roster.
  11. They beat the Thunder tonight. I don’t think this series is as cut and dried as you think it is. I mean I dislike Irving too but I think they have a 50/50 shot at winning this series. Perhaps take a realistic look at the series matchups. They have the best player in the series and enough physicality to bother OKC. Also the Thunder are a really bad rebounding team which doesn’t help at all.
  12. Richard Tandy passed away a few days ago. Makes me a bit sad that so many musicians of my childhood who were making music in the eighties are passing away now.
  13. Pretty sure Dallas would have beaten Phoenix and Milwaukee. I’d call them against Lakers a wash as well. Dallas handled them fairly good in the regular season and the Lakers have no one to guard Irving.
  14. To add one of the reasons Miami has been able to punch above the weight of their stars is their ability to turn second rounders and undrafted players into solid contributors. Being able to consistently do that is a huge boon. Tim Connelly in both Denver and Minnesota has been able to do it as well. Which is good because they have some older guys like Conley who will be hard to replace and very little draft picks. But you can argue that when he left Denver they lost some of that ability which is why they’ve not been able to replace Brown and Green from within.
  15. Still I think Proudfeets point is good. They did do a good job of building around him given what they had and the situation they were in. To bring multiple contributing players in under the restrictions they had is commendable. Joke if you want about them being 7-10 or whatever but Denver would kill for some options like that right now. Denver’s team is basically their starters or bust. Their bench is useless. Then look at both LAs, Milwaukee, Phoenix, etc who have gotten worse with their recent moves and brought in non contributors to shore up holes caused by acquiring stars.
  16. Yeah I mean I liked the Lego movies but we all know the humor is going to have to be very kid friendly. Probably will lack any punch to it. Glad they’re going with Darth Jar Jar though. I like my stuff more like this.
  17. I am enjoying Clone Wars but I find these days I get more enjoyment out of YouTube Star Wars memes than actual Star Wars itself. For example.
  18. Denver is in trouble here. Gobert didn’t even play tonight and they throttled them.
  19. They just need to learn to shoot. Very bad shooting basketball team. Will be exciting if they can bump their percentages there because they’re very good defensively.
  20. Nm i guess orlando is toast. When your second and third best players go 3/24 you’re probably not going to win many games.
  21. Orlando up big on Cleveland. I think they have a better shot at upsetting Boston so I’m rooting for the Magic here.
  22. Well an eight year old would generally find the Ewoks cute. Heck so do my wife and I. But for me the reason I like Jedi the most is it has the best space battle of any Star Wars movie and the best lightsaber fight (mix of emotion and style). Plus it has the Emperor at his evilest best. Throw in a great set piece to start and I can deal with fifteen minutes of Ewoks. Oh also has my favorite ending I just adore the ending montage. Empire is great but loses quite a bit on rewatch since it drags in the middle and if you know the spoiler well it loses something. Ofc he knew well ahead of this that Vader was Luke’s father so the ending for him lacks that bite. Ofc when I watched as a kid there was no internet.
  23. My wife and I agree with 1 and 7 on the list. (Always liked Jedi more than Empire) But we put the original 3 tops ofc. I’d also put Sith as fourth on my list so I can understand ranking it high. He’s very much into ranking things so he gives us rankings on everything.
  24. So we just watched The Force Awakens tonight. He liked it and gave me a ranking of the 7 movies so far. Be ready to have mind blown. 1. Return of the Jedi 2. Revenge of the Sith 3. Force Awakens 4. Phantom Menace 5. Empire Strikes Back 6. A New Hope 7. Attack of the Clones
  25. Nice comeback there from blowing that early lead. I think that the Wolves just have the defense to hamper the nuggets back line where the lakers couldn’t. Also if Edwards is going to shoot 60% that will help quite a bit.
