  1. Rohan (being completely landlocked) was never attacked by the Corsairs. Even if it were, transporting the gigantic Mumakil all the way to Rohan would have been nigh impossible.
  2. That picture does not inspire confidence. Considering that Boyens is involved in this, who if I remember correctly was the creative force behind a lot of the changes for the Hobbit movies, I doubt that we have a Cyberpunk Edgerunners situation on our hands.
  3. It's almost certainly a mistake and they meant to write Sauron. Not that the show becomes any less stupid through Saruman's absence. Lotro already did that.
  4. This should not be unexpected for a forum that had dozens of "Rant and Rave" threads dedicated to a tv show adaptation already. No. Apart from a complete reboot, I can see no way to salvage the show. The Sauron in Eregion storyline has been concluded in 30 minutes and Numenor's religious crisis has been boiled down to "Dey took 'er jerbs!". There is no coming back from this. The best the show could offer now is mindless spectacle.
  5. ´Still until you have a replacement lined up, there should not be much reason to starwarsgalaxies Loto (though that may just be the sunk cost fallacy speaking)
  6. Welp this is happening https://variety.com/2022/film/news/lord-of-the-rings-hobbit-tolkien-zaentz-rights-sale-1235176036/ I am not sure what to think about that.
  7. They were fine with having self-contained seasons and every book was greenlit before the first episode of Book 1 aired. https://www.vulture.com/2013/09/legend-of-korra-creators-on-the-series-plans.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Korra#Development
  8. Neither Isildur (after leaving Gondor) nor his descendants exercised the office of High King though if I recall correctly. The premise is not really false.
  9. That king being Earnur. The claim of Aragorn's line was rejected a thousands years prior to the events
  10. Considering that Books 3&4 were already greenlit by the time book 1 aired, that book 2 released roughly a year after book 1 and that an episode (if I recall correctly) of this kind of animation takes roughly 1 year to produce, I would say that this is likely the case. Overall I very much prefer The Last Airbender over Korra and I would go as far as to say that the only things Korra does better are technical animation quality (excluding the first half of season 2) and maybe music. The only good season is in my opinion season 3 and even it is not as good as standart ATLA. Add to that that dumb and fanficcy stuff like the "Dark Avatar", sudden Airbenders and first Avatars, and I really find myself wishing that they had not made Korra at all.
  11. The whole of Korra's two seasons (each containing two books) were already greenlit before the first episode even aired. https://www.vulture.com/2013/09/legend-of-korra-creators-on-the-series-plans.html
