Rhaeghar might have thought "Fire" means he will ride a dragon, while "Ice" means he'll do so during a long winter, perhaps fight those legendary "Others." The Stark words aren't "Ice to the Bone." They are "Winter is Coming." The connections between House Stark and "Ice" are ancillary, unlike the Targaryens whose very words are "Fire and Blood." well said, and this is pretty much how I see it.. thank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
